Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
JackieO hope everything goes well tomorrow, will be thinking of you.
Hope things go OK with the new house buy and you do not have to wait too long.0 -
I am one happy bunny - I had a reply on Free cycle for my request for an old sail to repair my foresail - it was from a local guy whose a sailmaker & he' s given me some offcuts of UV coated sailcloth to do my repair, so kind. So I now need to cut it into strips to do the edge which is about 25ft long. That should keep me quiet tomorrow
Just off to warm through Vhalla's Treacle Tart for our pud ( I know - a moment in the mouth a month on the hips lol)

Best wishes to JackieO and fab news on the house Vulpix.
I finally got round to making the cards :T will try to be a bit more organised with the next lot. I bought a few more crafty bits so have heaps of stuff to make them with. The knitting is coming along nicely. Thank you meritaten for the tip of winding wool round the little finger to keep the tension, it has worked a treat
I'm currently minimising my food stores as the doctor recommended that I try a gluten-free diet (despite the blood test coming back not coeliac) and I feel much better. So I have been going through the cupboards checking the back of everything, finding out if OH will use it up and if not, I'll take anything that won't get used up to the local food bank.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.980 -

Hope all goes well today for jackieO.
I am feeling pleased already today, as I have mmm'd. I use a paper diary for my work, as I hate being told what to do by electronics. I needed a new diary to use as my current one is an school year diary which I was given last year. My mum had got one from one of the £ stores at the beginning of the year, but not used it so gave me it. I like to have a marker showing where I am in the year - but this didn't have one. Raided my sewing box and found a ribbon which had been the hanging loops from some sort of clothing and tied it on to the wire loops. Hey presto, I have the diary working the way I like and all for nothing. Happy day
Right better start the paid stuff - sooner I start the sooner I can finish and get into the garden. Bonus today though is I am working from home and the cricket will be on in the background. The entertainment of test match special on the radio always reminds me of summer and makes the day go quickly.
S x£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.
1% target £4000 so far £20 paid0 -
iamsalt I agree about diaries, nothing beats pen and paper!
