    ETA: It's probably the last thing to concern you at the moment, but might it be a good idea if someone [your brother maybe?] 'phones the caravan dealer to cancel Dad's contract for a new 'van?
    From personal experience, caravanning is great for a retired couple but just doesn't work for a bereaved widow.
