I still secretly think that being well groomed is getting through to 10 am without anyone being sick on me or wiping weetabix in my hair although as a woman of a certain age, I find it takes an awful lot of time to get fit to go out in public (just to not scaring the horses or small children level).My mission in life is not only to survive,but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0

mothernerd - I just burst out laughing at ^ post. I could have written that!I wore a black top out yesterday, and then spent the entire time fretting that I hadn't checked properly as to what stains there may have been on it........ :rotfl: (think I was ok, and people didn't stare anymore than normal..........
)
Today has started well. We're up, breakfasted, snap is prepped, baby fed and cwtched, e-mails replied to and clothes ready to put on
Hopefully, if we continue in the same vein throughout the day, it will enable us to have HM pizza for teaIts a little cooler again today, so hopefully having the oven on won't be too onerous.
Paul Dukas' - The Sorcerers Apprentice was on R3 a little while ago - can anyone not hear that piece of music without seeing M1ckey M0use and walking mops and buckets?
Anyway, I just had to stop to do a nappy change, so I'd better finish up and go and seize the day.
Thank you for popping by, reading, commenting and giving me a good auld larf first thing in the morning. Much appreciated.

Yes, it was on R2 the other week - maybe on Anneka's show on a Saturday morning? Brought back memories for DH

Now *that's* lightweight! :rotfl:

Smilie says he is also too tired after reading what Cheery Daff has been doing to find any feathers so he is going for a lie down.
Have a lovely day Pilgrimers0 -
Good Evening :hello:
Upsidedown Bear - we can always rely on you and smilie. Thank you
Well, I should have been suspicious when everything went hunky dinky this morning.
Suffice to say, the day did not wear well.
I am thoroughly hacked off with the whole heffing thing.
Have spent the afternoon trying not to transmit my feelings onto Baby Greying, who knew something was up
Learnt a new parenting skill I guess - slap on a smile whatever the circumstances.
We did have pizza for us tea. 2 cheese, made with me reduced cheddar and some red Leicester (was thinking it would be a marketing coup for a cheese co to come up with a 'blue' Leicester, after their footy league success :footie:). Accompanied with some of the left over oven chips. I'm afraid I'm getting quite used to using them, they cut down on the oven use quite a bit and are alot less faff than 'real' potatoes.......... Maybe I'll go back to spuds when the wiljas are harvested this year.
Anyhoo, no piccy, as it was getting dark (we've only just eaten) in the kitchen and I'll not insult your intelligence as to what a cheese pizza looks like!
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
- running into a neighbour at the most opportune moment.
- meeting a new neighbour, who seems very nice
- that I bought ice-cream (wannabee c0rny-ettos) before the day went down hill.
And on that note, I'm off to get me oneand I shall probably grab one for DH too
Thanks.

Good Evening :hello:
Quick dip in from me as it has been a long day - wonderful, but long
We have been to a natty trust property again today. We each went to the bits that we enjoy - Baby Greying got lumbered with mummaAnd mumma is making the most of it whilst it lasts
because it won't
A picnic lunch was enjoyed under the cover of a garden whimsy that would be prohibitively expensive to construct in this day and age. So we must be grateful that our forefathers had more money than sense I suppose, as the weather wasn't conducive to picnicking al fresco
We weren't the only ones to do this. Several families were doing the same. I suspect there was some *competitive provisioning* going on though. Still, I appreciate that not everyone is bothered with budgets nor constrained by them. Our egg butties were lovely
We called in at a nearby town on the way back. We'd been there a couple of months ago and were impressed by the range of shops (erm, I mean charity and budget concious shopsnot artisan knicky knacky shops.......). we were further impressed today,as it is free parking there on a Sunday :j
Saturday night's tea was curry. On the left is Coconut curried lentils and on the right is Mung bean curry. Yummy
Dinner this evening was a bit rushed, given that time flew away and I made cake tooBut I made a Martin Morales (known to our very own dear muddywhitechicken
) recipe - Quinoa, avocado, chilli and honey salad which I served with spicy man approved black bean [STRIKE]burgers [/STRIKE]sliders (but i made them with beluga lentils instead) and green beans. I got the recipe from the Royal Marsden cancer cookbook, and it is a keeper for me
Picture here;
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
- KISS - 'keep it simple stupid'......... life is just too short, waayyyy too short for anything else
- a recently made friend, who is just so, so supportive and nice and helpful and reassuring and funny......and......and......
- gardeners who are botanists and painters and just create sheer beauty with their work.......
Thanks for popping by and reading. Mucho, mucho appreciated.
