Buyer asking for refund but returned item lost in post

also now amazon have a quick way to refund an A=Z claim and that is to immediately refund onto am Amazon gift card. i did this when i ordered a micro SD card which the order conformation showed a different size to what was order and listed, so i cancelled the order within 5 minutes of placing ( you are given 30 minutes to cancel) i got this cancel confirmed, but then the following day i got a dispatch confirmation and all amazon would say to let the seller 3 days to contact you, which all the seller was saying is it was never cancelled, which i had proof it was, so he told me to refuse delivery. i told him no as he ignored the cancel notice it was upto him to contact the carrier to get the item returned to him, which i refused and then told me never to contact him again, so again e ven after showing amazon the seller message they still dated that they would contact the seller and i have to give him 3 days to reply and if he does not reply then i could open and a - z claim. i told them as this had gone one for nearly 2 weeks of back and forth and then the seller telling me not to make contact and the proof i cancelled the order then i wanted this refunded and if the item arrived i will make available for the seller to arrange collection of this. they then open a claim which i took on as gift card, so far item not arrived0

Will wait and see what is returned to me. I have asked the buyer to send the item back with tags/unused...
It's a shame about the neg, although I have sold over 200 items I only have 17 feedback on Amazon.
I have left follow up feedback.
