They'll get pretty much damn all, if they try to buy stuff using my account.0

They have probably hacked the Daily Mail, oh hang on why would they bother :cool:0

As long as they use some rich guy's account to buy me a few things from my Amazon wish-list I'm not caring

Wait for independent verification, it's quite a leap from a ddos on a single site to stealing account details directly by infiltrating Amazon. The first is very easy, the second damn hard. Posting lists of old/previously exposed logins for lazy journalists is just part of the mischief - they won't verify before printing, so give the kids attention and mystique (thereby perpetuating the problem and creating new fear to sell more papers)0

Is there any actual evidence of a DDoS on amazon.co.uk?
It seemed to me to be fine yesterday, and similarly this morning.
Surely it couldn't be that the Daily Mail is factually incorrect??! :rotfl:0 -
I seriously doubt Amazon has been hacked that would be major news. And they will have strong security as they would be a major target due to amount of customers they have. Still I changed my passwords for Amazon.com and Amazon.co.jp as a precaution.0

Amazon had a good track record of keeping their different regions non connected. So if the .com was hacked they would not get info about the .co.uk or .co.it sites as they are separate entities within amazon.Laters

Amazon sites are connected as I setup an account with Amazon.com and was able to use the same login for my first purchase from Amazon.co.uk with all my details address, credit card already filled in. It also worked with Amazon.ca and Amazon.de I did however have to setup a new account with Amazon.co.jp as my existing account never worked with their Japanese site.0
