New Year, New life.....

So a new thread to start my new year off with... and my new life when we eventually get the go ahead to move house...
We are moving a few hundred miles away, so it will be a new lifestyle change which, hopefully will do us the world of good.

Looking forward to moving, yet I have thought against it many times too. so I really need to make this work, we are not getting any younger. Got lots of new ideas for me and the d hubby to try, to keep us fit and active. Trying to find things to do that wont cost us money or a lot of it anyway...

So lets get back to why I need to get rid of the debt... credit cards. yeah they are ok for awhile then you just use them for stupid things and then they end up maxed out.... so at the moment my debts are the 3 cards I have... my plan for 2015 are to get rid... of all three... reduce the debts by as much as I can possibly afford each month....To do that I will have to start the Ebaying up again. I really dislike Ebaying as I always seem to find the idiot who asks me so many questions. buys my item and then wants to send it back for stupid reasons. people want your items for next to nothing and its not worth the hassle at times.

will add my cc debt to my signature and any thing else I might have... wont be adding the mortgage etc as it will be gone shortly and rent will take its place,. if we were in a position to buy again we would, but we are not so sadly to say, rent it is...

Sunday I might put a few items on Ebay for a start....
I have promised myself I will post daily to keep me tuned in... and on the straight and narrow. if at any time i do move and do not have the internet to catch up on here, i will take notes to post as soon as i can.....

looking forward now to the Newyear to get motivated....

Good luck with your move. It's a shame you had to sell, your debts don't look that scary!

Hi No we really didn't have to get rid of the house... we have both worked really hard for it... reason is we are moving away from our city, we are looking at a different life style and less hours working. also got to get jobs... changing jobs etc puts dampers on a mortgage, new rules etc.... we never know we might get another mortgage at the seaside... it all takes time you know,,,

yesterday I printed off new spread sheets so I can keep a eye on all our goings out for next year, under frugal living I will budget well and live a healthier life style...

Ive joined the frugal forum as I see they have so many great ideas to help people take care of business better. with happy souls along the way to help me..
Ive joined the 2015 £2 savers as I always try and save them, I'm hoping to keep this until next xmas eve, when I will open and use for the xmas sales..
I've also joined the 1 % challenge to keep me motorvated with reducing my debts.
I've not got a lot of debt but its a lot to me considering some peoples debts its nothing, but It keeps me worrying etc so I need to address my business the best way I know how.

Time to start studying how I'm going to find this extra money to pay off the debts, there are some good ideas on these pages and I will cut down the best I can to save every penny...

Hi Panther chick - I'll be starting a 2015 Goals thread - basically you write down your goals (financial/non-financial) and decide how often you update your progress against them. A number of us did it in 2014 and it really helps to focus the mind.

You would be very welcome if you wanted to join in. I'll start the thread on 1 January 2015.

    Take care

  • HAPPY NEWYEAR

    Day 1/31

Its the Newyear and I feel so much better. kick start this Newyear after last nights family get together... I ended up with all the grandchildren sleeping over and the big kids went home till 2pm today, when they all arrived to collect their little darlings...

Made a lovely slow cooker stew last night for today, it was heaven itself eating it. with mash potatoes and some soft baps left over from last night... yum yum... sent the kids home with the goodies they left from last night. that wasn't used,,, I wont eat all the naughty stuff now will I...

So I've started my sealed money box off. wont be opening it till 1st December 2015 ready to splurge on Christmas.
I've entered 2 things onto Ebay tonight. will put a few more things on tomorrow afternoon. I'm only working in the morning. have a small amount of shopping to be done in the afternoon and then the day is mine...
Hoping to hear from the solicitors this week for a moving date. oh the joys. Going to throw myself into work this month and Ebaying. and packing and moving hopefully, so plenty to keep me going..
catch up with you all tomorrow.. xx

  • Day 3/31

    Saturday

Well I really didn't have tme yesterday to get online. but I was thinking mse thoughts all day...

we haven't had to go shopping yet for food, still plenty in the fridge freezer and the cupboards. maybe need milk today....

Yesterday I hunted out Ebay items. I now have 7 items on Ebay with some things already being watched but that don't mean a lot. just some people being nosey what you are selling same as theirs...
I know I have a few more items I could add today so that's the plan today...

Went to the Bank yesterday to put money in to cover monthly payment of one c.card.. so now at the end of the month will look at paying a little extra payment off that card to start reducing the bill.

So hoping to catch up with martins show from last night later today, I recorderd it because we watched a film together last night. snuggled on the sofa. I also went to bed at 10pm trying to get to bed earlier each night as I know im not sleeping correctly.

    Catch up with everyone later...
