Hi just received my extra Christmas gift from Parking Eye. I overstayed my welcome on one of their car parks by 1 hr and now have a payment of £100 or if I pay within 14 days £60.00 I have read the sticky and have the template letter all good to go to challenge them. Any further tips or advice would be great. Anyone had there PCN scrapped?? :j

use the template letters and also scans (copies) of till receipts etc to show proof of patronage of the shops served by that car park
do not admit or infer who was driving , just mention a passenger was a genuine shopper and here is the proof
they usually cancel if the spend was over say £30 , especially if its a free car park
as usual for most people, you have also only concentrated on this invoice, not bothering to complain loudly to the LANDOWNER (the one who hired PE)0 -
Stay within PE's time limits for appeal (and I don't mean the 'pay within 14 days to take advantage of our fabulous discount offer') and, as is the case currently, initial forum-based appeals are successful and PE drop the charge.
Delays in appealing (or ignoring) have seen PE issue up to 1,000 court papers per month! Don't sleepwalk into one of these! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As above. Check and double check your wording to make sure you haven't revealed who was driving.
Follow the advice on this website to take advantage of the 100% discount offer and pay nothing.
Well done on getting this far on your own and having read the NEWBIES thread first.:T It really helps the regulars on here when posters do this.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Thanks everyone for your further advice. I was shopping with a friend, and in the shop, where I was parked, we didnt but anyhting but then went to walk into the local town? Do i need to mention all of this is my letter.0

no, if you dont have the receipts, just use the template letter and remove anything you dont wish to be there, but include all the legal arguments already in there
ie:- just cut it down slightly and use the online appeal on their site
say nothing about the circumstances and dont infer who was driving either0 -
The latest pattern with this PPC is that they cave in when they see a decent forum based challenge. Failing that a decent POPLA appeal should win so make sure if they don't fold you don't lose the opportunity to appeal to POPLA. See the newbies how to win at POPLA.
Good luck0 -

the threads should actually tell you to complain to the landowner , who may or may not be wynsor shoes
the retailer may be able to help, but its the landowner or their managing agent who contract the PPC
I doubt you will find a template , so best to write your own letter of complaint
the main source for the best info is the newbies sticky thread, where it mentions complaining to the landowner etc , in red0 -
Hi Guys, having trouble trying to track down land owners , for my PE, pcn? Any tips. I emailed the shops head office who claimed the pcn is nothing to do with them, they are the only shop on the site? So who else would emply PE!!!!!
cheers :j0
