this might not be good advice but maybe going to the local newspapers and giving them your ( all six tenants) story, just might shame the council into acting. you never know someone who could help you will read it.

That's very good advice. They did that in our local paper about an Estate, getting the MP involved... it was in the papers for weeeks.

that was gioing to be my next course of action i recently sent my housing !!! a letter and have threatened that if anything happenes to my girls that i will inform every local and national newspaper that i made them aware of my situiation and that they just sat and did nothing

however i did not think about getting all tenants to contact the paper thats a good idea thank you

    Where's their Dad?

i cant believe you asked!! sorry but i thought that was really rude!
i mean really... what has it got to do with anything? this would be happening wether the dad was there or not,
and sending a man outside to have words with these yobs is likely to make things 100 times worse anyway, if he comes back in one piece at all, dont you read the papers?
this is a reasonably quiet area with not much trouble but we have some flats near us that seem to be full of 'undesirables' who manage to keep all of us awake til silly o clock every weekend all through the summer, and if its not them then its police sirens and dogs because of them, but would i send my bloke round there? hell no!

aaanyway, fishingcinema maybe you could have a brain storming session with your neighbours, and try to come up with ideas,
put forward the newspaper idea, but try to think of things that will help in the mean time, like... lockable wheely bins for your rubbish, moving them away from building so that even if they do get set on fire, its just them thats going to burn... fixing that spiky pigeon detterent stuff onto the top of the walls, so the yobs have nowhere to sit... and maybe look into getting one of those systems where an alarm goes off if your doors or windows are opened, i remember seeing them in woolworths, i dont think they that expensive (certainly cheaper than replacing all your stuff anyway)

get a note book and write it all down, keep phoning the police (log that everytime too) and keep going on about it, keep bugging the council... they really cant ignore you forever
and if they start thinking that your going to be a huge pain in the bum every week then that might be the incentive they need to help you (to get rid of you :D )
  • How about badgering your local Councillors- at Town and District level. This should get some action, especially if you mention that you will be telling the papers that you approached them and did or didn't get their help. I've seen Cllr's make a real difference when they've got a cause that they feel strongly about and they are meant to represent you. Cllr's have access to budgets which could help to deter the teenagers from hanging around ie bright lighting, fencing etc and will have more clout with the police, perhaps they could ask them to include the woods behind you. The elections were only a couple of months ago so they should still be enthusiastic. If nothing else, getting a Cllr on side may help to persuade the Council that you need to be rehoused.

I havent any further ideas from the ones that have been posted, but I just wanted to wish you luck with the situation as I know I would hate being in your position.

I had a child that only slept for about four-five hours an evening and I had my partner to help and found it difficult enough without having the other stresses on top. So Good luck :) I really hope that you manage to sort this out someway or another.

Sorry I can't really office advice on your housing problem but children sleep...

When I was small some 30 odd years ado I slept for 1 hour every 24!!! my mum fell asleep at bus stops in shops etc etc.. Doctors said I was totally fine and ok... When I got to school refused to drink the little bottles of milk as they were left out all day and were warm and then: hey presto I slept!! When I was small there was no big things about hyper children and food affecting them was it a coincidence I don't know but I do know that I still don't drink milk at all now!!!!
