I don't know your circumstances but to some people picking stuff up off the floor is just never going to float their boat no matter how you sell it. That said if you are in debt like me, & constantly showing your OH how picking stuff up off the floor is making a difference to your life and ability to pay said debt off quicker then that's got to help motivate him.

For example this year I've managed to generate over £300 just from collecting roadkill, coupons, tips & market research interviews. It's all gone straight towards debt or paying for food shopping.

It may be that you just need to lead the way a little. Maybe start by looking around your regular supermarket car park next time you go.

    Good luck

A friend laughed at me for picking up 2 shiny 5ps! Well that, and I got excited when I saw them! But sometimes you just need to think "sod it" and not care what others think! It's lining my pockets so I don't care! That said, if it's money I'm normally ok at just picking it up but if it's a receipt in a crowded place I "drop" something or pretend to tie my shoelace as most people don't understand the benefits! :rotfl:

I appreciate how you feel about the amount you owe, but compared with some people on here, it's not too bad. If I add my debts and mortgage together, I wonder if I'll ever repay it. But I will. Slowly, but surely and honestly, every penny counts. Think of wombling as a fun way to eat into your debts. Before you know it, you'll be well on the way to chasing them out the door :)

74 clubcard points wombled and added to my card over the past 2 weeks - at one point I had a particularly rough day and my OH brought home gifts of chocolate and a handful of picked up receipts :p

Also 75p abandoned in work's vending machine 2 days in a row. Mine.

Give it time. Mine changed his tune when he found himself relying on my roadkill tin to fund his energy drink habit.

Today got £1.10 in tips and found £1 in the bank and a penny. Then 1p on the floor somewhere else.
