They only gave either 1 year or 3, not 2. Plus they usually make a point of not repairing accidental damage FOC so not sure how you swung that other than blatantly lying to them.

And people wonder why manufacturers go out of their way to stop repairs and demand evidence etc? Lyiers like this make it difficult for the rest of us. Hilariously they then to onto say they dropped the replacement loads of times, instead of taking care of it, obviously some people never learn.

    Excuse me? I'm a liar?

My grandson dropped my iPad from his child's height bed, onto a carpeted floor with underlay , a drop of barely a foot, and it was protected with the same cover I have on it today

The screen became red and green

It was over a year old, I never had any insurance, there was no outward sign of damage. Not even a scratch

They replaced it foc. I had to return to the store 5 days later to pick up the replacement as they didn't have any of my model in store -ipad2

And yes grandson still drops it out of bed, same as I do, off the sofa when I fall asleep at times

Oh and I've never had a problem with it since

Now why you think you have the right to call me a liar I have no idea ( notice the spelling btw) but please wind your neck in and cast your aspersions elsewhere

Check your consumer rights, apple cover for non accidental damage under their warranty which is the three years, consumer rights cover you for two years at least

Did I blatantly lie to apple? Perhaps seeing as I said I turned it on and it was red/green. They took it back room to examine it, and agreed they could find no external damage and so arranged for the replacement

My son's iPod was dropped a few years back; we went to the Apple store and told them and they replaced it FOC.

And now it is green and wonky! Is it goosed? There's a dent on the floor where it fell off the couch, landing on a corner.

Am I to just accept I broke the best thing I ever had or can it be fixed? Anyone help?

Sounds as though you may need a new screen. There are lots of local companies who can replace the screen for a cheaper price than Apple.

If your iPad is around 1 year old, consider claiming under your home insurance, unless you purchased Apple Care insurance.

If it is older, I would be tempted to use a local repair company.
This is a company local to me, their site should give you some rough ideas on prices for repair for wherever you are based.

I doubt you will be able to repair the dent.
    :p
