I dropped my ipad (sob)

And now it is green and wonky! Is it goosed? There's a dent on the floor where it fell off the couch, landing on a corner.

Am I to just accept I broke the best thing I ever had or can it be fixed? Anyone help?

It might be able to be fixed. Apple can certainly give you a good idea if you have a shop near you.

    Oh no !!

    How is it broke?

(Turns on? Screen broke? ipad intact?)
  • it turns on ok and the casing and screen are intact but the colour is not good. Green or pink and I just can't read anything. I love my
Ipad! I moaned the face off my husband for such a frivolous gift and how I wouldn't really use it, but I love it!

I have it with me always. I've never bought a magazine or a newspaper since. I record my old mother chattering away :-), If it's going to cost hundreds to fix then I'll just put in the bin and move on (sob).

I've been online and people say slap it on the back, near the logo. Didn't work! am so bloody careless

Yes, thats what I did. £100 excess to pay but as it was worth £250 the insurance paid us £150.

Darling grandson done the same to mine a couple of years back. A total fluke as he's dropped the replacement hundreds of times and never caused a problem

I also done the back slapping thingy as well, didn't work for me either. Just try apple, see what they say. They replaced mine FOC as it was still in the two year warranty. I obviously didn't admit to dropping it

It'll be worth something on ebay if all else fails.

They only gave either 1 year or 3, not 2. Plus they usually make a point of not repairing accidental damage FOC so not sure how you swung that other than blatantly lying to them.

And people wonder why manufacturers go out of their way to stop repairs and demand evidence etc? Lyiers like this make it difficult for the rest of us. Hilariously they then to onto say they dropped the replacement loads of times, instead of taking care of it, obviously some people never learn.

    Green sounds bad.

The Apple replacement is a good service (effectively a new one for half price), or maybe a local repairer might be able to replace the screen.
