Would rm/parcel force take responsibility for that?
Fwiw, I sent two parcels Royal Mail in december one was domestic next dAy, I know it hadn't arrived next day, nor some days after. I don't know if its arrived yet. One was Five day US , and while I know us mail cN be patchy, over three weeks was somewhat taking the biscuit for almost fifty quid. Only sent pRcelforce because of lack of organisation meant we were not sending from London where we tend to send with international couriers for better reliability. A parcel onsey box to Italy on the other hand, was cheapest offering and very fast. I might well use that again.
No the implication was the couriers mishandled the items.
Im not sure what the point the rest of your post has.0

DPD are the only ones currently that have the technological software to text an ETA of delivery to within an hour. Hermes will be rolling this out over the next few weeks but I suspect not many couriers will actually use it.
Ocado text you with details of delivery van/driver along with ETA.0

Because they only pay the courier 48p to deliver it and he/she has to make 3 attempts if the recipient isn't home to receive it. All P2P parcels have to be signed for too so cannot be left in a safe place.0

Once they have made the decision they might be obligated to announce it, but why were they making a decision on Christmas Day? Surely they could have held their meetings and made their decisions the day after christmas.
How many retailers started their sales online on xmas day? On Boxing Day city link would have been deluged with more parcels, causing utter chaos. How would you stop that happening.........??
Odds are the decision was made at close of business on xmas eve anyway.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

I just don't understand this way of thinking. For a start not all employees will be Christians,(practising or otherwise, essentially I mean Christmas celebrating) and for a second thing, at least they were told before a day off to think, enjoy a day with fMily if they have one and take stock, have time to look over income and expenditure etc, things people often don't have time to fit I to a normal working week.
I'd rather know at the earliest opportunity so to best prepare thN be kept in the dark about my future because 'it's Christmas' and the jejune worker alongside doesn't Care to face the reality of a situation.0

You think they were working on Christmas day?notanewuser wrote: »Leaving how many retailers with piles of parcels to send and no carrier? Genius.
It makes no difference to them whether they find out on Christmas day or first thing Boxing day. There are plenty of alternative couriers to use.
It certainly would ruin Christmas day for many people to find out they are losing their job.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
