A better chance, yes. But it depends how their escalator works. We have a tolerance of 6p a litre either way, before we adjust our prices. If Citylink have similar, then definitely an opportunity to benefit; if it's a lot tighter, then no.

I'm not in the parcels sector, margins are appalling!

In the eyes of the general public, Yodel have a far worse reputation yet won the poppy contract.

Are they under some legal obligation to announce now, or was ruining a load of people's Christmases voluntary!?

The directors can be prosecuted for wrongful or fraudulent trading if they continue to operate the business whilst it is insolvent.

Mind, did you see the quality of the packaging?
They would have been far better whacking £10 on and going overboard with the packaging.

It's funny how many people complain about companies such as Yodel and Hermes but if you counteract that against the number of successful deliveries they perform then this becomes minuscule. RM/Parcel Force have a far higher volume of complaints per delivery than any courier company.

Sorry but where do you get that number for RM from?
I would be willing to bet there is no way RM has a higher complaint ratio per delivery.

    ... unless its a bank!

LOL, yes. Banks seem to be immune from capitalism which is ironic really as they are the basis of capitalism.

We're volunteers involved in the packaging, or just the dismantling and collection of the poppies?

The great delivery companies are the ones that txt or email an eta in the morning and those that have a tracker that tell you when 'ben' or whoever will arrive with your parcel. This revolutionises how people can get on with their day and is worth extra in many circumstances.
