It's doing a system restore at the moment, don't know if that will be enough. If it is what should I do next please download avast, malware bytes or what0 -
PCs don't get malware by magic, you need to visit pr0n sites and/or be fooled into downloading malware apps for 'free' streaming football and the like.
For 99% of peeps, Microsoft Security Essentials will be fine. Norton, McAfee and the like are often more trouble than they are worth so run the Windows decr*pifier to remove the 30-day versions of the s/w that comes with a new PC.
Add the Easylist tracking protection to IE to limit adverts - http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Browser/TrackingProtectionLists/ and click on 'Add TPL' for Easy List0 -
Hi it went ok .then I downloaded avast but it wouldn't get rid of two things it said weren t much good. I've downloaded cc cleaner. Do I need to get rid of the norton 30 day security now I have the avast ?
I would recommend removing Norton.
You shouldn't try and run two anti virus programmes on the same machine.
Have you used the malwarebytes link again?
What does the bit in bold mean?0 -
