Obtaining IP address

Do you know why my Samsung Note II cannot connect to my wifi. It has worked fine for the last year but is now constantly saying

"Failed to obtain IP Address" even though I can see my Sky router.

How can I fix this?

Hard to say without more details but best guess is you have either got a static IP set from elsewhere, or the routers got confused and stopped giving out IP's. I'd try..

1. Look in the network settings of the tablet, make sure its set to get an IP Automatically, not to any setting like IP manually set. Because different makers may put different skins on not sure where it will be but there should be a settings icon, normally like a gear logo.
2. Check you are trying to connecting to YOUR router, if a next door neighbour has a Sky Router make sure your connecting to the right one, not trying to log on to theirs with your (and hence wrong) password.
3. Reboot the Sky Router.
4. Reboot the tablet,
5. Remove it from the wifi totally and re-start connect it to the wifi

Try changing the channel the router is using, if a reboot didn't help.
