Decent (twin) landline handset. Good volume, clarity etc.?

Options
Perhaps a daft question but i know my mum's gone through a few handsets that she's returned after a day or so use because the clarity was poor, maximum volume for hearing the person on the other end speak was poor & just the phones in general were poor.

I don't fancy buying a few myself only to struggle hearing the person on the other end etc & then have to return it & try again.

I'm actually wanting one of those twin handsets where the other can get plugged into mains & left upstairs.

Can any of you recommend any sub £100? Thanks.

We have had a single unit (they do 2, 3 or 4 unit sets) Panasonic for many years and the only problem, ever, was when it needed new rechargeable batteries. Sound is fine.

My son has a much newer , but similar model and that, too,is fine.

I have a twin unit Panasonic with built-in voicemail. Sound is very clear and volume is fine. You can always buy from Argos and return if not satisfied.

    What is "truecall"?

Also, is a built in voicemail thing really necessary? I mean, 1571 does the job doesn't it?

I recently got a Polaroid twinset with answer machine from Asda for £18, it was originally just temporary until I could get some new BT ones, but they are so clear and easy to use I'm keeping them! Really surprised by the clarity but they are brill!

I have a 4 unit Panasonic set, really recommend it. It comes with answer machine (but also available without.)

Great sound, loud ring, many other very useful features.

I see similar Panasonic 2 unit sets on Amazon atm starting at £34.99.

    Hope this helps, good luck!
