April DD1 didn't meet Husband from the groups she joined. She was about your age when she decided to split with second BF and was in quite a state. She, like a lot of us, finds walking and excersice helps her emotionally.
I like to go out walking by myself sometimes I'm not into groups and socialising much. It's like a sense of freedom and fresh air. When I worked and walked part of way there I often had my best ideas then.
Walking is definitely MSE no cost and many benifits. If you can do it it's great as many of us on here find it. Just a shame about weather but that will pick up again in a few weeks.
Take care April and just do what you can.
Thanks leanfun x
Bene trying to get out and do a bit more exercise recently, as well as doing my yogalates dvds, so hopefully that will make me feel a bit better! Hopefully the weather will improve!3forholidays wrote: »AprilLady I'm 32 & single too!
Are you still in denial about being in your 30s? I know I am! :rotfl:Fire**fly, you got me craving for rhubarb pie now. Funny thing is I've just realised I don't think my kids have ever tasted it!
Sheils, I'm sure April would love to visit Sidney!Hope your DS can find love soon.
April, my DH is never really romantic but he did ask me if I wanted to go out tonight but I'm like you, when it comes to it I can't be bothered and get too anxious about what to wear etc!
I got a bit excited earlier when I saw there was good news about my euro lottery ticket I bought online. I saw on FB that there was a UK winner of top prize so I quickly checked! I won £5.60Hopefully it's bought me a bigger amount for tonight's lottery!
Mmm, you're making me want rhubarb pie now! Or crumble!
I think sometimes you have to make the effort to go out, knowing you might have a great time when you get there, but sometimes it's so hard to motivate yourself, isn't it?!
Well done on the win! Well done to indie too.
Got woken up in the middle of the night by the noise coming from my downstairs neighbours' flat...think they might have been enjoying their Valentine's weekend...
Happy Sunday everyone, hope you all keep warm!

Good Morning,
Happy Valentines Day - hope everyone has a lovely day.
Wingo, shame the flowers weren't for you. I don't get any either.
We never go out at home as the prices are so high here. Even the chip shops and Chineses are expensive. Visitors must get a shock when they come. Hope you get things sorted out for your dad. Cancer is such a horrid disease. WD on lotto win and getting your glass. The glasses are really nice.
Must get on as we are meaning to head off by 10am. Looks frosty out but forecast for sun all day so fingers crossed.

It has been pointed out to me that the place for general chat on this forum is The Inn, as I don't visit that thread very often I spent a while in there this morning. I scrolled all the way back to the beginning of the year and made the following observations. (Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong about anything
)
There are loads of colourful bright pictures.
The banter is very friendly.
There seems to be about a dozen or so regular users who seem to know each other quite well, in fact dare I say it seems to be quite an elite clique.
They even have their own language, most of which I have no idea what it means :rotfl:
The chat is anything from the weather, family, haggis, nits , and even a little bit of comping chucked in :rotfl:
As I said I scrolled back to the beginning of the year (which was quite a few pages!!!) and I never saw a single post by a Board Guide or The Forum Team.
So now for my questions
Three times a "funny" thread has been opened and twice it has been closed, should it be opened in The Inn if that is where the general conversations go?
Would the people in The Inn feel put out if you had an influx of compers coming in to post funny posts and have a laugh?
Do you feel you get away with a little bit more in The Inn because that is the place for general conversation? As I said you don't seem to be moderated as strictly as the rest of the chat forum
Would the compers who don't normally use The Inn to chat move threads? As I said you seem quite a tight clique and some folks may feel like they are intruding.
Now that The Inn is at part 45 and 386 pages long do you think if it was started afresh more folks would be inclined to use it?
I will post this on the forum and in The Inn please let me have your thoughts“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel

The Compers Inn Part 40
A shiny new Inn.
same rules as before
Chat about anything and everything in this thread (at least it will keep the boards clean)
Keep proper comping discussions to the other threads in the Discussion Board
Have fun and PLEASE BE NICE TO ALL MONEYSAVERS/COMPERSplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
I wouldn't say we are a tight clique in here, just some come in more than others.A lot of people do pop in and out when there is a birthday but time dictates what boards people visit and what they miss.No one should feel they are intruding if they come in to say hello and join in the chat. There is always a warm welcome for them.0
