Ordered a new TV stand from Amazon. Got an e/mail this morning saying it would be delivered between 2nd and 6th January. Then an e/mail from Yodel saying it would be delivered on 6th January. It has just arrived. Yodel may have their knockers but well done them. Only gripe is I may not have been at home today so wouldn't have got delivery. Goodness they are being efficient just received a text to say it had been delivered lol. Goodness just got an e/mail as well yodel are really being efficient

Hi everyone, its lovely and sunn here and the washing is blowing nicely in the garden.

Glad you had a good Christmas Chocolate lover. Its very sad about all the floods and for some peeps its the 2nd and 3rd time this year too. DD's friend has a shop in Hebden Bridge and she has lost all her stock which is awful but when you see peeps out of their home right on Christmas that seems worse somehow.

Glad you are managing to get a nice walk today Sheils.

That sounds lovely going to a garden center and then having a lovely cream tea Alfie.

Are you doing anything special for the New Year firefly?

Hope your late shift goes quickly Indie.

You look after your family so well Rose and are so good to them.

Enjoy your last few days at home Wingo before going back to work next week and hope you get the new post you are after.

Keep forgetting that some of the advents havn't been drawn yet, hope there are some nice wins in the Inn before the end of this Dec.

Oh Deary Me not a happy bunny. Have received a citation in post for jury duty in High Court. Hopefully I wont be picked but knowing my luck I will. Will have to sort out kids days with me which is going to be a bit of a problem as most relatives are outwith this area

Ho Rose sorry to hear your news. I was once called when our three were small and because we had no near relative I was able to get off.

Floods are terrible like you all feel for those flooded.

Not long back from going up to National Theatre with DD2 and Gs and her friend and daughter. Trains not running into Charing Cross, Waterloo and London Bridge over Christmas. So we went to Blackfriars and walked along the river. Loads of people out tourists and young families. Tide was out and opposite St Paul's there's a bit of sand. Overheard someone say ho we could sunbathe there. Yes, it was that mild and sunny no breeze off the Thames.

Alfie hope you are having a great time with family. Cream tea sounds good.

Pleased everyone has had a good Christmas. Can be a stressful time for some.

I think it was 22nd I had an email to say I had won tickets to a Red Riding Hood in Islington. Tickets booked for this Saturday. Can't believe that's six lots of tickets in about six weeks!

Then on 24th a children's book about the National Theatre arrived. It was not part of today's win but I think there was such a problem over tickets Walker Books sent a book as well.

Also on 24th i had a WEM for a Toad voucher for £20. It was from homemaker but I could not find a post.

Do wish everyone good luck with the Advents still to come.

leanfun DIL mum has them some of the time but she works four days a week on different days so some days I have the kids and other days she has them depending on which week it is because of her shifts. It is going to be a bit of a headache trying to work something out.
