Hello everyone
I hope you all had a lovely Christmaswe had a lovely time full of fun, family, presents and love
Wingo - Happy Anniversary to your mum and dadso sorry to hear about the migraines they are horrible! I too suffer from them, have you tried the sticky cold things (sorry can't remember what they are called!!) they are really good if I get one.
Rosemac - congratulations on the new arrival to your family
Fire**Fly - I love the photo of the cat on the scaled!! Definitely me!! haha
Sheils - Aww hope your DD and DS are ok, I remember the stressed of school, I feel they put too much pressure on them and it is not fair.
So horrible to hear about the flooding, it is all up near where my OH is from (Todmorden) feel so sorry for them. OH's family lives up hills luckily so they're all ok but feel sorry for the people that arn'tand it flooded on Christmas day

Hi chocolatelover. Glad you had a good Xmas. My DS1 is long past school now I was just saying what he was like when he was sitting his first Highers. He went on to do Accountancy so must have got used to exams. DD is on her last year and finds exams stressful.
So sad to see the flooding on the TV especially when Cumbria is so close to us. Our house sits on a hill too.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

That's really good
I don't think I could do something with so many exams, I always seem to buckle under the pressure.
I hope DD does wellI'm sure she will
It is so sad, I've seen a lot of the photos being shared on FB and it's such a shame, I feel so sorry for the poor people. One of them was of someone's living room and their Christmas tree was just floating around, makes me sad to think they should be having a good time with family opening presents and sharing the love but instead they are trying to salvage what they can. On the flipside they are opening town halls and schools for people that need shelter which is nice

These things stick in your memory chocolatelover. Every Xmas I remember the Lockerbie disaster as I remember looking at the tree and decorations and thinking about the people who wouldn't be getting their Xmas when it came on the news. At least no-one seems to have died in the floods I don't think.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Yeah, it is terrible, I was too young to remember the Lockerbie disaster but have heard plenty about it. It is so terrible when these things happen.
I don't think so either, just hope the water soon goes so they can start fixing their houses up.Read my diaryHere0 -
Had a wet and windy night but seems to be OK now although still dark. Back to normality for a few days I hope. It is nice for workers to get a decent break but does seem to get a bit boring for rest of us I think.
Hope there are a few companies sending out WEMs from the advents today! Doubt I will hear about my only prize until into January as I think that is when they draw the main prize.
Have a lovely day.

Good morning everyone!
Hope you are ok.
All is well here - lovely family are staying until New Year's
Day :T before they have to wend their way home.
Apparently got another decent weather day here
so later on we will be indulging my/their love of gardening
by visiting a beautiful garden centre/craft place and then
enjoying a scrumptious cream tea while we are there.
Have a wonderful day all - take care - will catch up
later.
