I didn't realise you can't use them in supermarkets Sheils. There's only tesco near us that sell them but I wouldn't pay £9 for a dozen anyway! I have also won around 7 bogofs on them too but I won't bother entering any more then as they're not really free.
When we got insurance out for water damage we could use our own quotes too and they just sent us cheque for repairs. We just got insurance to replace carpet on stairs on they sent their own independent company to sort out carpet. Good luck with insurance X
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

cards - only managed a few yesterday - really must
try to finish them off today. Haven't even had time
to write my letter to Santa yet either!

  • Morning! So tired this morning. *yaaaaawn* Really struggling to get going! I wrote one card yesterday and a letter to go into it, but that's as far as I got! Bit disappointed that the stuff I put on ebay didn't go for much, but I suppose that's the risk you've got to take!

    Good morning,

Still pitch dark here this morning. Might deliver a few cards today if it
stays dry and the man comes early about the door. Pretty organised considering. I am up and showered and DH in shower just incase he does come early (not very likely)

Never been brave enough to use Ebay April although DD uses a local FB selling page and has sold some stuff for me on it which has been successful. Saves postage doing it that way.

Hope everyone gets their cards finished today!!!!!
    Have a lucky day.

  • That cat just sums up how I feel, although at least I'm not working today!
I've been quite lucky with some things on ebay in the past - obviously just not a good time yesterday for people to bid on my stuff, ha!

Hope you don't have to hang around too long for the door man. Usually people turn up when you're in the shower/on the toilet/just nipped out to the postbox - I think delivery people have some sort of tracker that knows when you're unavailable even for a second, then swoop in and ring the doorbell!

Thanks April. Just noticed you are from Edinburgh. Have spent a lot of time there over the years as two of my sons have worked there in the past. Got one at South Queensferry just now - his girlfriend works at Kinross so not happy bunny just now with the bridge closed.

Ah yes, must be a nightmare with the bridge being closed! I'm glad I don't have plans to go to Fife any time soon!
I've lived in Edinburgh for quite a while now, and went to uni here, but I'm really a west coast country girl!

Great pics as usual Alfie and FF - love them, thanks.
Still dry here but misty over the river.
Done a few advents and dailies so suppose I should finish my ironing. Usually stand and do it in front of door to sunporch though where guy will be needing access to. Maybe I should wait .......:D

I am right down on SW coast April.
