Thanks firefly, yes he is one in a million I have to say. DD rang just when we had got the veg on to say GK's wanted to go swimming so a bit of a waste of time really. Managed to freeze the rest of the Shepherds pie and will have to make soup tomorrow. Not too pleased that she left it until late to let me know. She had been busy yesterday so needed to do something with them today.

I would have been angry if I were you Sylvia. DD and boyfriend came for their dinner! Great DH helps you , funnily enough my DH helps in kitchen too. We also have our own jobs in house and seems to work well.

Well done on the iPad win Sheils :T :j Fantastic win and well deserved! I only ever use my iPad now as it's quick and convenient. Mind you I'm not too happy with it at the mo as I've just updated it and don't like it as its changed a few things!

Aw Sylvia, sorry to hear you went to all that effort and the GK's aren't coming now. Hope they can pop over soon.
I bet it's really slippy out now after the snow! I hate it when it's icy roads/streets.

I saw my SIL today bless her. She's got the world on her shoulders and just can't wait for the year to end.

Does anyone know who is entering the Krispy Kreme comp if you actually win free donuts or do you have to buy some first to get a dozen free? I've looked at the price and I think it's fairly expensive for a dozen doughnuts! However nice they are!

Don't know if you can win donuts or just bogofs. Have won a few bogofs but no Krispy Kreme shops near here. You can't use them at service stations or supermarkets just the shops I think. Not that keen on donuts anyway and not sure what you do with all those!


Got quote from local joiner for £550 for back door so hoping insurance guy will let us get him. Like to use locals especially as we need 2 new windows as well.
