Hope everyone is managing to keep warm. It is ok here but keep checking Edinburgh forecast for DS1 arriving tomorrow morning. Edinburgh can be bad for snow but looks like only the north of Scotland being hit. Fingers crossed anyway. Not really happy about him driving after such a long journey but he wants to hire a car to get around.


Glad DD did well wingo. Hate uncomfortable seats though. Some old theatres can be bad too.

I had probs with the buttons earlier sylv,
so I logged out/cleared history/cache's etc,
logged back in & all working ok now for me x

Mine are there too Sylvia Looks like there have been a few glitches with the forum lately perhaps.

Not long for son to come home now Sheils I bet he will be shattered with the travelling! It's a big change in weather for him!

I had a takeaway in the end thanks fire**fly/leanfun We had Chinese!

Isn't there a lot more xmassy adverts on TV now. Once over there used to be the coke truck, garden centre and M&S but lots more now! Not that I'm complaining but just prefer to hear/see them in December time when it's nearer Xmas
I forgot to say, I won the last prize on the raffle today....a pub quiz game set!

We had jacket potato with grilled salmon and salad followed by raspberries and cream.

DS1 is in Abu Dhabi now wingo. Departs at 10.15pm I think and lands in Edinburgh at 6.30am

Morning all,


Feeling a bit chilly here. DS1's plane has landed but not heard from him yet. Bit worried about him driving after such a long journey but he likes to have his own transport when he is home. He just hires them in Oz when he wants to go anywhere too as he lives near centre of Sydney.
DH got bread maker on so nice home made bread when he arrives.
Must get on as won't have time to comp later.

EDIT: DS1 going to DS2s for a cuppa before driving home which is a good idea as DS2 only 15mins from airport.
