Well done with Xmas shopping Sylvia. I have got DS1, DS3 and DHs presents but that is it so far. The hot chocolate hamper might go to DD as it has marshmallows etc in it. Love the doggy pic.


Had some heavy showers here too FF. Managed to get the shopping early on. Decided to have turkey on Sunday and turkey curry on Monday as DS1 never has Xmas with us now so will remind him what we used to do!

I had last dentist appointment this week so that's all over for a while thank goodness.

Wingo well done on your wins. Agree with everyone else. It's been terrible for your DD. thank goodness she does not have much longer to go to that school they are a disgrace.
Alfie we have a shed that needs new tarpaulin but we still have not organised it. So well done on getting yours done.

Fire Fly I always forget about jacket potatoes but we do enjoy them when I do them.
It's definitely much colder here maybe snow tomorrow.

Is everyone really expecting snow? I keep checking our forecast and Edinburghs (for DS1) and not seeing anything.


We were well wrapped up leanfun. The Lakes can be cold as well as wet. When we left we just about had to paddle to car as water was in the hotel's car park. Expected it to be cold and frosty the same as last year when I booked it last month. Saw so many flooded properties around Ullswater and Derwent Water. It made the scenery interesting though.

Hope all is well,I am fine.I went to a Christmas light switch on this afternoon and had a lovely time,I sang on stage live on radio twice,I sang Robson and Jerome I Believe.Also met Jack Sparrow and Olaf from Frozen.

Won a DVD for singing of My Boy Jack.

3for, I love that Xmas story...'night before Xmas' I was in tesco looking at the books and there was an Olaf from frozen version of the story but in a funny way! I asked DH to get it for DD but he wouldn't! (Scrooge! )

I love the Betty book pic fire**fly Hooe you enjoyed your jacket spuds! They are my favourite but I like cheese with mine and heron food store do a lovely cheese savoury filling so I buy that now too for my jackets Sweet potato jacket spuds are ok too!

DD is hoping to go to college after school when she finishes in June but I'm not sure she will get the qualifications she would need as she is struggling. She definitively won't be ready for a job yet.

We've got DD2's gymnastics display to go to tomorrow. It's usually on for around 3 hours and they are tiny hard seats to sit on! Looking forward to watching her but not looking forward to sitting there!

Good morning everyone!

Brrrrrr! It's a tad chilly here at the mo!

Apparently today, after a bit of wet stuff, the sun
is going to peek out mid-morning and stay with us for
most of the day.

Doesn't look good at the moment though - I can see
the wind gusting away. :eek:

Lol! Yes wingo, was out gardening briefly yesterday
but going to be back out there again today doing my
thing.

Just have to wrap myself up like the Michelin Man to
keep warm!

though fire**fly, it does seem to warm up after a
snow fall.



Hope the gym display goes well for your DD2 wingo. Bet
you end up with a numb bum though sitting on those
