Good morning all, nice an sunny again here. Off to town for breakfast with DH and some food shopping.

So sorry to hear your DH has had a reaction to the jabs firefly. Big hugs and hope he gets better soon.

Well done on your £20 win from Levi Sheils, nice useful win.

Glad you had a lovely time away 3for and that the weather was good for you.

Oh dear Wingo what a to do you are having! Yest I think you should protest higher up what a load of rubbish sending letters out too late as well. I do hope your DD1 feels better soon and big hugs for her.

Rain off now and it is getting warmer. Had flu jab this morning. I never have had a reaction with it so fingers crossed. There are police/ambulance sirens going good guns here. Might nip out and see what is going on. But our main road is notorious for accidents. It is very wide but every 50/100 yards there are islands with metal fences around them so that we can cross safely. But motorists just seem to overtake and those who are not used to the road seem to cause a load of accidents.

Alfie, I would still get the flu jab if I were you as flu and pneumonia can be devastating. My parents get it every yr since my dad got pneumonia while in Spain a few yrs back. He was lucky to recover from it then.

doctor phoned back & said it's a reaction to the flu jab,
strange as he's always had it each year & not had a reaction to
it before but this time has made him quite ill,
doc's sent a prescription for the nausea & dizziness
through to chemist for me to fetch,

Sylvia, car is in Eddy Stobart's hands as far as I can understand! No tracking available according to salesman. Know our last car was late coming from same garage.
Would probably be better if it didn't come and we put the miles on the old car rather than the new but once you order something you want it don't you? Scared someone bumps old one and they take something off trade in price! Someone was trying to drive on the right at Fort William which gave us a fright.

Glad your DH getting something to help FF. My DH can never decide whether to get flu jab or not. He never got round to it last year. He was seriously ill with it years ago.
Looks like October is going to be your month - hope your luck stays. Well done. x

Hello all just thought i would pop in quickly to see how you are all doing.

Sorry not butting in but wondering if they have changed flu jab slightly this year ff seeing as figures showed last years was not overly successful in many cases. Hope your dh feels better soon

I am waiting for a prize i won on an ebay comp on 11th september. They have messaged me twice saying it will be on way soon but still no sign lol. Long as it arrives before christmas as I have it earmarked for a prezzie

Well done on win ff. Accident was four cars and a bus. Road is now closed. Have kids to pick up from school at 3pm so will nip out around 2,30 and see how it is. If it is not open I will have to walk up and walk them back. Only takes about 15/20 minutes and will take them in to cafe for a treat italian ice cream (it is a great bribe to stop them moaning lol) but I love it as well.

Not liking the sound of this flu jab at all! :eek:

Think you could be right - I can recall reading something
about last years flu jab - god only knows what's in it this
year. :eek:

Still, gotta go for it so paws and fingers crossed that I
don't get a bad reaction from it .... will keep you all
updated.
