I'm back from Chester. The weather was lovely. Went to Llandudno and visited the summit of the Great Orme. Also went to Bangor and walked along the pier. Makes a change from sitting in an office! Back to the office on Monday though.

Sheils, you deserve a break and I would do the same if DH was half as enthusiastic! I bet that's a long drive to Wales? DH hates driving as far as the town centre! My bro is 50 in December and he will be allowed to travel a short distance by then (after kidney op) so family is talking about going to Dublin for 2 nights. I would really love to go but it's also DD1's 16th bday same day! I haven't mentioned to DH as I don't think he would be keen.

Well after the charade with son in school I came home to a 3 letters from the school. One was to tell me that DD1 has to perform in a dance show as part of the exam. She's autistic and was originally doing music as she likes singing (on her own) and listening to music but they decided this final yr they would merge the performing arts with music but dancing makes her anxious and causes a meltdown with her! The next letter was telling me DD1 has to do after school geography, maths & science every night after school if she wants to go to the school prom! The other letter which was sent out Tues 29th sept to say that son was suspended from school on tues 29th sept (and arrived today ) over the 'being a few mins late and falling asleep in consequence room' thing the other day, and he was to go in consequence room again on Wednesday 30th sept! Do they think Royal Mail send letters out by plane? Anyway, the letter said that son was not to go anywhere in a public place that day of suspension and I would get fined if he did! :eek: Honestly, the school is bloomin ridiculous! :mad: I've asked son if he wants to move school but he doesn't want to incase he doesn't make any friends. I'm going to contact the LEA as I think the school is just bullying but I'm sure they will put on a good show for Ofsted.
