Morning wind woke me up. ff first pick of overturned lorry is only 5 minutes from me. It was awfull and very noisy I do not remember wind ever being that loud. We had 90 mph winds not as bad as the islands though.

Didn't hear wind too badly in bedroom but really noisy in livingroom now I am up. Hope you got back to sleep rose.
Got message from DS1 and he got back to Sydney from Vietnam safely so that is a relief.

Went back to bed around 6.30am and have had a few hours sleep thank goodness. That must be a relief for you shiels to hear from your DS. FF do not blame you for not going out in wind when I went out the other night to shop it was really frightening. I can laugh now about hanging on to the pole at traffic lights but it was not funny at the time. Good luck for today everyone

Good morning all. Hope your birds and squids are OK ff. It always amazes me how they survive the high winds being so small.

So glad you DS has arrived safely home Sheils. It must have been a worry for you.

Stay safe Rose, its best to stay in while its like this if you can. Glad you managed to go back to bed a catch a few hours shut eye.

Still very windy here too but much calmer than last night. I don't think I will be going out in it either fire**fly! Hope you manage to get your papers!

That's great news that your son got back safely Sheils I would be on edge constantly if mine were away too!

Just got the girls today as son slept at friends and going into town & pics with them. We girls might have a girly pamper day!

Weather update from central Scotland it is now snowing. Lol wingo wont be doing any dancing for a while. DS and GS called in he brought me half a cooked chicken and some fresh salad from the salad bar in supermarket and grandson bought me a magazine from his pocket money bless him. He can't have much of it left. Grandson asked if I had any home made soup so that him and his sister could have some for their lunch (they don't like mum and dads soup lol) which is why son asks me to make them soup in the winter. So they are of with enough for the four of them from the freezer.
