Lovely start to the day here, sun is shining and all
is well.

Best cut my lawns this morning before it gets too
warm - my neighbours were out yesterday evening
cutting their lawns and doing a bit of pruning - there
was a nice cooling breeze then - wish I had gone out
too and tackled mine.

Sorry to hear about your Uncle sheils.

Would like to see Colin Firth Katie. Think he is a great actor.


Trying to decide whether to go and see my aunt today or tomorrow. She does have a son but ordinarily my mum would have been over as they are fairly close but she doesn't get back from Spain until tomorrow night.

Sorry to hear about your uncle Sheils.
Your aunt would probably appreciate a visit later on or tomorrow. Your Mum is going to be upset being away. Hard having two deaths so close together.

DD2 and SIL is off for a weeks holiday today with GS to Canary Islands. So we too have a free week.

Just thought Sheils your Mum will be home before Spanish air control Strike starts on 10th! Just looked and seems as though it's still on for a few hours over four days.
Beautiful sunshine here so we might be off out today. Saw Gales forecast in the North hope they are not too bad.

Sorry to read of your loss Sheils. Like leanfun says your aunt would probably appreciate a visit since your Mum is unable to be there.

Blowing a gale here with heavy rain - more like weather that you would expect in the middle of winter rather than summer! Is it any wonder that people go abroad on holiday?

It was blowing a gale here last night Alfie and today is still a bit windy. Be careful in that garden of yours! I'm expecting my knickers to blow over next doors fence! Well hubby's anyway!

The funeral yesterday for friend was a beautiful send off but unfortunately there were incidents with emotions running high. I know grief affects people in many ways.

Sylvia, I should hopefully only be in around 5 days but I'm meant to have 6 weeks recovery afterwards but hoping to get back to work before kids break up again! It should only be light duties anyway last week or two before summer holidays.

I'm so annoyed with DH, he has been telling kids that we are going away to Barcelona when they break up. No such thing! I need to renew kids passports anyway, he hasn't discussed with me or even discussed Barcelona and he knows the situation at home that I won't be travelling abroad this year! Sometimes he speaks before he thinks!
