Happy St George's Day everyone :)
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • waves to you all... life is busy busy here. i've had quite a few bespoke requests of cards and papercuts so been busy doing those. got dd2 doing her gcse's.. shes gone up a grade or two with my lil extra bit of tuition so hopefully will keep it up.. first exam in 3 weeks i think (might be 2) eek.

I've just ordered a build a bear sleigh for our elves to arrive in this year lol.. also got one of their lil build a bear buddies nutcracker for dh.. only cause it had 40% off lol which i didn't know until i got to checkout. so felt like i got free postage lol.

its my dd3's 13th bday next week, she has no clue what she'd like.. which is no help at all. price limit of £50 .. if she could wait another week she could have what shes asked for, for xmas lol but i expect she won't. she wants to wonder around town and waste money i expect lol. i've decided to put the youtubers socks in one of those mason jar tumblers.. and decorate the front with the youtubers logo and saying. just cause she has to open something on her bday morning lol and will get her a cupcake for breakfast.. shes requested a giant oreo cupcake as her bday cake this year.. easier than past years!

my head is full of xmas atm.. so trying to pay off a £300 forgotten bill so i can put xmas into action lol. i'll get there.

PRINCESSKITTY ooh thanks for the reminder about the M&S vouchers on groupon, i have been thinking of just saving my christmas food money for vouchers for M&S and go for quality not quantity this year, mmm food for thought especially if this deal does come up again. Ha believe me it will take me weeks to really deep clean here :o here is the link to that cake if you fancy trying it, its really fruity and moist

Glad you had a fab time at the Buggy Fit classes, i bet my DD2 would love that.

3FORHOLIDAYS whoa that is fantastic, go girl!! I cant believe you havent won one thing out of that lot????

PEPPAPIG well i usually combine everything at once with the dr, but i never thought of the nurse doing my BP, thats very forward thinking of your surgery, i bet they get more people use it because of the novelty of taking your own BP, yes i do have one somewhere not sure how accurate it is though, i would be the same if i was giving advice as well, its just unfortunate i dont think of myself. Sorry to hear DH is having a bad time atm and hope they can solve the pain with tweaking his meds. What a fab idea your sister buying a bike rack so you can go further afield :)

PIXTOTTS hope you get to watch Safe House and enjoy it, i was reading a list of side effects tonight of those two meds, it was shocking!! I now have the meds but really dont want to go back to feeling foggy all the time :(

Sorry after losing everything earlier i am going to just do a bit at a time :D

CHRISSY so glad you have finally recovered from being so ill, i hope DD has a fab 18th, are you in York for her birthday? I get so confused keep checking if i am paying over the odds or not, now i understand why they have put my DD up even though there was enough money to pay my recent bill and some left over!!! Grrr!

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY i wouldnt tell your mum they are for other people, i would just say you have treated yourself with the money. I have stayed with BG because the savings are just not worth changing but i will keep checking. Blimey no wonder your friend has a spring in her step :D

MSGIGGLEWICK good luck to your DD for her exams, glad you are still getting orders, well done!

    Happy St Georges Day

Well i had a fab time with DGS, he was great, only it was like having a sleepover with Thumper as his favourite thing atm is lifting both legs and slamming them down :rotfl:but he kept doing it all night :rotfl::rotfl:i was worried i would keep him awake by snoring and trips to the bathroom!!! DS bought him the playnest in the photo earlier and he was even doing it in there haha. He also fits nicely in his high chair and enjoyed being fed in it (not bad for £10 on facebay) its a mamas and papas one worth £70 - 80. DD2 wants one now as hers he doesnt fit in yet and sits funny and it is so much bigger and bulkier than mine. So i have had a lovely couple of days with him. DD2 and OH had a great time out as well and a cheeky shop before they had to pick him up. Hope everyone is well!

Oh forgot to say we had a knock on the door abt 7.45pm a police officer asking if we knew a man from over the green, that they were trying to find him, there has been police cars, ambulance, crime scene photographer there since, i hope nothing really bad has happened as they were clearly taking photos upstairs and in the hall (we could see the flashes) but we also saw a child at the window downstairs :-(

  • Peppapig sorry to hear about DH, I do hope he improves after they've tweaked his meds, it can't be very nice for both of you. Great news about the bike rack - you'll be going all over the place now!

CHRISSYG glad you are feeling better now. Arghh energy companies drive me mad, I don't know why they're allowed to do what they do. Why can't it just be simple?? I hate going into all that, luckily for me my DH loves doing all that - Lord knows why! :p

msgigglewick blimey it sounds like you're very busy! Glad to hear you are getting orders and that business is going well. Good luck to your DD for her GCSE's.

freespirit aww what a cutie! I bet it was lovely having him to stay. Wiggle used to bang his legs down loads, sometimes when we were downstairs it sounded like he was going to come through the ceiling! :p Thank you for the recipe, I didn't realise it was a fruit cake. I don't like raisins and sultanas, but DH loves them so this would be great for him. Oh no I hope nothing really bad has happened to the man over the green, but unfortunately it doesn't sound too good at the moment. :( How frustrating losing such a long post! Nowadays I always copy and paste my post in to a word document first just in case, there's nothing worse than the thought of having to type it all out again!

We popped over to Reading yesterday (about 20 miles away) so I made the most of it by going to Home Bargains, I thought I might find some bits on my Christmas list but didn't. I did stock up on cupcake boxes though! By the way they had lots of wicker baskets in different sizes which would be great for anyone doing hampers.

DH and I watched Safe House, we love dramas like this where everything is a mystery! Looking forward to the next instalment.

Hopefully the weather is going to be nice today as i'm meeting a friend at Virginia Water for a walk. I was going to take wiggle with me but DH has said he'll have him as I didn't get much sleep last night. After wiggle woke me up I was awake for another 2 hours, I just couldn't sleep. This has been DH's first week off work and I've had about three social engagements this week, it's just a coincidence that they've all happened in the same week - I think DH is starting to think i'm a proper lady who lunches! :p
