Peppa I can't even begin to imagine how devastating it must be for you all, that certainly sounds like a tough day, but I'm glad they are talking about their feelings. Much love to you all xxx

Pink I'm glad your DD has some relief, but others have said it is so unfair that she must suffer by having to leave the classroom! Bullying is always rife in schools, but it is how the school deals with it that stops it escalating. If the pupils know they will get away with it with no repercussions from the school, then it will just get worse! So glad you told DH and I really hope you get a permanent solution soon.

Free, your son never fails to make me chuckle! But what a Mum, being able to turn it around so quick :)

Mrs, I don't really think 30 is old. But I will be telling everyone it' my re-29th from now on ;)

    Hello everyone
A lot of tough stuff going on at the moment. Hugs all round. And cake too. I think we deserve it!

For my 30th birthday, I went to Centre Parcs with some friends. On the actual day, we had a BBQ there. But I do like to do 'something' for my birthday. This year (35), I went on the cable car across the Thames and then lunch at a diner. You do whatever you fancy doing. It's YOUR birthday, so spend it the way you want. :-)
Hope you have a lovely day.

Thanks for the heads up about the Christmas DVDs in B&M. The half price offer is on until the 7th July, so the advertising says. On all DVDs. I bought 'Fred Claus' and 'The Lucky One'. £1.49 each! :)

gosh, what a lot is going on! JJ you never fail to amaze me with your positive attitude. hope you are not in pain now.
Pinknfluffy, thank goodness your DD has you and your DH with her, poor chick. Hope that the meeting with the parents of the culprits gets a good result. Well done on the breadmaking, it is a good way to knead out your frustrations! lf you change your mind about the breadmaker PM me as l have one that doesn't get any use as l eat so little bread these days. You are welcome to it.
Feisty, l hope that you get sorted out with the move, as others have said make sure it isn't the EA who is pushing this. lt might be an idea to ask them that as you are doing this to accommodate the buyer, will they make a discount on their costs to cover the storage of your stuff? Shy bairns get no broth, and the worst is they will say no.
Dom, do exactly what you want on the day, it doesn't have to be a milestone if you don't want it to be.
Well, l am off to DDs to continue the redecoration, yesterday l papered the hall and half of the staircase, and today l will paint it and try to finish the paperhanging. The stairwell doesn't need it, the paper there is still sound, just needs painted and then there are 4 flamin' doors and casings to do. Gloss is such a slow thing to do.
DS2 is happy with my old car, and delighted at the saving in fuel, so far.
DGS is off school with a cold and a tummy bug, but is ok to be left with his computer and the phone, so his room is off limits.
l sent my forms for my chinese visa yesterday, getting excited now only 4 weeks and 3 days till l go. xxxxx

JJ you have such determination considering everything just remember its ok to take a step back and have a break sometimes yes the essentials need doing but your exams and revision can wait

peppapig glad hdd decided to go ahead with a ceramony I felt the same and nearly didn't have one but hard as it was at the time now I'm glad I did it though I didn't invite anyone as I couldn't face it it,its not the I'm sorry's we all expect that its the way people look at you and when they don't know what to say they avoid you it make you feel like you did something wrong and you just want things to be normal so you can get through the day. Thinking of you all

Pinknfluffy the school is failing in they're duty of care and isolating dd while being a relief for her is only making the problem worse as it crates a vicious circle and not dealing with the issue  I know your worried about dd self esteem if you make any major changes like changing school but if they can't deal with the issues then I would really consider it or even homeschooling. Glad you finally shared with dh understandably your both angry but you need support too.

mrsI hope dgs is feeling better soon

Freespirit typical ds asking you last minute again but just goes to show he knows what and amazing mum has. those bakes sound yummy I might have to google some recipes when I get 5 mins

Dom Its your birthday you do what you want and if that's spending the day in your pj's watching tv followed by a lovely soak in the bath and a takeaway so be. Don't feel you have to do something you don't want to because other expect you to its your day you do what you want and enjoy it

thank you all for thinking of us still waiting on a date for the funeral and its been a hard few days as you'd expect but a part of me is glad its finally over for them.

sains are advertsing a vue cinema tix offer starting 1st july http://www.nectar.com/summer-rewards/terms.points got quite a few points so hopefully be able to treat the kids to a couple of trips over the summer hols.

Evening everyone, sorry i didnt get on last night, i had my scan today and as you all know me and what im like, i had to go to bed early as was in a right state, anyway because DD2 took me and we had Thumper, he sort of distracted me so i wasnt actually too bad by the time i went in, anyway fab news its all ok, no nasties as the Dr said, it is just a harmless lump and if it isnt causing any pain then to leave it. My doctor arranged for the scan to be done at another drs surgery about 8 miles away instead of putting me through the angst of going to hospital and i have to say it was so much less stressful, no panicking about parking, too many people, waiting ages etc i literally was in and out in 10 mins, the relief afterwards was immense, DD2 said i had colour in my cheeks as all morning i had been so pale :o

PEPPAPIG It must have been very emotional for HDD and DH but it is good that they are talking through their feelings with each other and being a huge support for one another too. Hope you are getting through it as best you can too, sending hugs.

KIWI/FEISTY/MANDCO haha supermum, amazing etc i most definitely am not, he was just lucky we had ingredients on this occasion :rotfl::rotfl:mind you they all sold and they made over £100 for charity (obvs not just our cakes :D) so all good

MRSINVISIBLE where do you get your energy from?? Whatever you and MRSMONEYPENNY drink i want some :D:D haha just thought i bet its tea (i hate tea) :o so glad you are getting away to China again, you can recharge your batteries x

LAZYSHEEP oh blimey can you imagine trying to do your weekly shop with lots of minions running around :rotfl::rotfl:

MANDCO sending you hugs and hope it gets easier x

  • Morning! Hugs for all in need, seems to be a difficult time for so many, hope the positive vibes the rest of us send can give you some strength to get through this time.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered the coasters, 16 of them:eek:
However, as I had the unexpected windfall, I'm not really considering it as my money spent! I also bought a bag from John Lewis, felt really guilty as it cost £180, but I had £100 gift card & used windfall for balance, but it is a really lovely Radley one, so an investment, well I keep telling myself it is.

Shocking news from around the world yesterday, I hope that the survivors have the strength to be bigger than the ignorant people who felt the need to inflict such pain.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

I havne't finished catching up but couldn't read on from pinknfluffy28's post without commenting for fear of forgetting what I was going to say.
Many of you here know my story from my time to talk blog post I shared ages ago... I was never bullied, we'll things were said but water off a ducks back, I didn't know what did bother me at the time but was later suggested a phobia of school and anxiety problems. Most schools do have very little experience with self harm as the majority who self harm are experts at hiding it, experts at hiding everything. But there is also little they can do about it, I know it's not much but your daughter is in a brilliant place, she has you and she has a councillor. And those are much more important.

The bullying however I am very surprised they aren't doing more.

I'm not sure if I should add this bit or not, but I am going to, is she still self harming? if so the free pass to leave lessons would concern me, is the chaplaincy/pastoral room manned? would it be clocked what time she leaves lesson and what time she gets there?
I only ask as I was a proper goody two shoes, always did homework, always in school, always in lessons, yet I got as I would skip lessons hide in toilets and self harm. For me it was having to try and be normal and keep a normal routine that helped me.
I'd also not completely rule out the changing schools, going to uni was what saved me, new place, new people, noone knew anything that had happened before then.

I know it's none of my business but it's not very often these sorts of things are looked at by people who have been in similar positions, and prepared to admit to it, so couldn't keep my trap shut haha.

I have been gone so long missed so much good news and bad, hugs to all. On one of the facebook groups I'm part of we keep saying what a funny year 2015 is being, so many illnesses, bereavements, and lost pets :(

I have nothing to update on, how dull is that. I go on holiday a week today though and I need it, I feel in a constant state of I should be doing something more productive with long to do list, my brain needs a rest! x
