Locked talk mobile phone

Hi, I have swapped phones with my brother, we are both on different networks, his phone was unlocked however talk mobile are saying that mine cannot be unlocked until the end of my contract. Does this seem right, has anyone else had this problem?

    Generally, any network has no legal obligations at all to unlock their handsets. So, it's all up to their policy.

    If they refuse your only options are either wait or try independent unlockers.
