My wife is on the look out for a new phone - galaxy s/note 4.

She is currently with EE but weve seen a really good deal on mobiles.co.uk the deal works out at about £10 less per month for the note 4, this is through 02. Is this site legitimate? EE say you have to be wary of 3rd partys as the phones may not be new!

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

It's probably a cashback deal. If you know what you're doing and are prepared to take action should they not pay for any reason it works.

I've had a major falling out with them over a separate issue so may not use them again, but have used them for many yearsand taken a lot of other people there (that is likely to stop now as well though).

No problems if it's not a cashback deal. They are a part of CPW.

All networks' salespeople are known to tell lies about their competitors.

If you recorded EE specifically saying this, then presented it to Mobiles.co.uk I'm sure the latter would consider it libel on EE's behalf.

It's not libel. They sell a lot of "refurbished" phones and EE made a general statement. In any case, judging by my recent and substantial experiences with Mobiles.co I don't think they will care much about their reputation.

You're making it out that these third-party sellers fob you off with a refurb model even if the phone is advertised as new, which is just untrue.

The fact is that what EE said is general and not untrue. Why advise throwing stones when they haven't done anything to deserve it and then accuse me of doing what you did??

If mobiles.co.uk were the only firm selling phones I would do without. In fact the saying to do with wee and fire as far as I'm concerned.

Oh I do miss this forum. :rotfl::rotfl: Not been the same since the plethora of cashback deals dried up to a trickle and P4U and subsidiaries went west.

Macro leaps in hardware/software have slowed too - at least as far as my user needs go - but as long as MJ, Silk, Grumbler and a couple of other regulars are around, thenOPs will be getting good advice.
