Ho hum, hopefully will all be sorted by lunchtime tomorrow and I can enjoy Sunday - Tuesday with my boyfriend.

Oh I do hope so. I know exactly what you mean. Our painter was meant be here in the middle of June and now he's coming mid August and still on the QT (I assume) as it's weekends and it was meant to be done before we went away.

I'm no Tory but it does irritate me that there's work to be done but lots of people who don't want it.

Aaarrgggh, I keep loosing my post.

Lidl have some exercise wear in, if anyone is interested. I remember a discussion on this thread a few pages ago.

I bought a vest top for £2.99 and some leggings for £4.99. When I did my fun run a couple of weeks ago, my mum said I looked like a boy in my shorts, so I really wanted some bottoms. They have a hidden pocket for a door key, which is really handy.

Sounds like a great deal Chanie:)
Loving reading about the house fabbing - can't wait to read the blog ll, and those sofas look great maman - ours need replacing, and removable covers would be perfect for us; current ones are leather but I'm not really a fan - it just seemed more practical when the kids were young.
Copy and paste is definitely the way to go with posting, I think; I'm finding the site a bit faffy to use lately, but maybe I'm just getting old!
Up and showered and dressed early today, dog walked and I've applied for a job online! Don't think I'll get it but really need a "reason" to dress smartly each day :)
Have a good day fabbers :)

    Afternoon All

Just a quick post as I am at work in an hour. I've had DGD all day so we've been out most of the day. We went swimming, had a picnic and went to the park making the most of the sunshine. I've already done over 15,000 steps today and will probably do another 5,000 walking to work and and at work which is good.

I had my monthly weigh in this morning and am one pound heavier than on the first of July so it could be worse - although the idea was to be lighter!! I'm still 9lbs lighter than on the first of January though so not too bad. I definitely want to weigh and measure less on September the first though.

Must dash as I have my hair to style - its gone all fluffy and sticky outy after swimming followed by a trip to the park - and my packed tea to make. Hope everyone has been getting the sunshine we've got.

If not that job (although of course I hope you're lucky) then at least you've made a start with an application. Keep looking and keep applying!

That does sound like a busy day rose. I think if I'd had the DGDs all day I'd want to lie on the sofa rather than set off for work.

It has been sunny and bright here all day but although its allegedly 19 degrees it doesn't feel warm. Not much fabbing going on other than the usual but I have read a bit more of MK book, almost finished now.

    I need to confess....

I bought a beach cover up for my holiday and when I wore it for the first time, I noticed it had holes in it. I took it back today and was planning on getting a refund, but the beach cover up was in the sale, so they exchanged it for a new one and gave me the difference back, which was £15.

Anyway, I get home and showed it to OH.... Only to realise that the holes were part of the pattern. So not only do I have new cover up, but it's half the price.

I feel a mixture of embarrassment and pleased I'm quids in.

I was given a free sample of moisturiser when I had a free facial in the airport lounge last week. I was feeling dehydrated after days of aircon and flights so I tried it the other night and had an instant reaction as if my skin was burning. So it's in the bin. I washed it off with face wash (which I only use when I travel - normally I cleanse with oil), then rinsed a lot and used my normal travel moisturiser. It was still sore yesterday, but the makeup didn't affect it thankfully.

Stayed with friends last night so have used lots of olive oil (I smell like salad!) and it seems to have calmed down.

However, I'm eating too much rubbish and not exercising enough.

    Hi all,

Fab Friday wasn't fully participated in her- jeggings & a top for work with trainers. But off course perfume sprayed so not all was lost lol!!

Worked y- day morning the all afternoon off and off today. Think I will have general tidy up today and do some shredding the place is a little too lived in for my liking. Or might have some lazy time as both oh & I off and a rarity to both have day at the weekend... I will tackle the ironing pile tho... Far too high!!

Times like these I wish someone would bring a nice cup of tea- or freshly made smoothly to my bed.... Ahh well

Good morning all, hope everything is well, sore faces and recalcitrant plumbers notwithstanding.

Well now it's the beginning of another month, what are our goals for this time.

    Here's mine

    Health and beauty

    Lose 6lbs
    Get hair done
    Exercise 30 mins per day
    Step up skin care regime
Buy slippers, and a few tee shirts/tops

    Money

Reduce food bill (did really well in July but I think there is still room for improvement)

    House

    Decorate dining room
Continue the kondoing, photos done :D just need to put in albums now

    Garden

prune shrubs, weed paths and tidy

That will do for starters, sounds a lot but all achieveable.

So ladies post up your goals and let's spur each other on.

But first - back to basics.

Yes, the mirror test. How are we doing.......

as we know schools out so I will be gentle - easy homework .....

For your homework this month I give you two "P's" ........

    PERFUME. POSTURE.:rotfl:
