Glad to hear you got your refund. I wonder if you would consider purchasing online next time as you have more rights to return under the Distance Selling Regulations plus you won't have a store manager who is only interested in protecting their bonus to battle with when things go wrong.0

Glad you got a refund
I don't think 9 months before a TV stops working is acceptable at all and would have been livid!
About four and a half years ago my husband got a netbook from there and it broke so they fixed it, and then it broke again. It took them ages to return it to the store and after all the hassle with it breaking we didn't trust it not to happen again (I can't remember exactly what was said but I don't think they were convincing when they said it had been repaired - I'm not sure they could work out what the problem was). We told them that their policy stated if it wasn't returned within a certain time frame then a refund would be given - they claimed it wasn't valid because it hadn't been sent for a while after us taking it in, but that wasn't our problem! They eventually agreed to let him pick a different computer and he ended up with a much better one that he still uses now

ignoring the fact that the Distance Selling Regulations no longer exist.
The TV was bought in March, so it wouldn't have helped anyways0
