I am saving all £2.00 coins I can get - up until August these will then be give to my best friends daughter - who will be a YOUNG mum = the idea is she opens a savings account or the baby OR puts it towards a big expense (eg a pram if grandma does not buy her one)
since the beginning of the year I have had 9 so a total today of £18 there wont be a huge amount for the young mum but any amount if better than nothing when you are a new mum
HEmergency fund £10,000
Several categories with savings in
Cars, house maintenance, birthdays
Etc I have about 10 categories
Really happy to be debt free after being a compulsive spender0 -
Scotmumofthree and liltdiddylilt I had a really nice time thank you. It was only the local wetherspoons but they don't break the bank balance and I didn't have to cook it.
We are going to go back there next week for Valantine's Day as they don't push the prices up and we are going to save our pennies for the week after - when we are in Lisbon. ( one of the cheapest cities in Europe).
Hubby bought back another £2 coin today. : 0 )2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Can I join in please...
My current amount is £250 in a jar, £60 in £2 picture coins in a coin hunt album but am not going to include them as I will collect them.
So my target will be £1378, which works out at £1 per week of the year and is added to the previous weeks balance, so
Week 1 £1 total £1
Week 2 £2 Total £3
Week 3 £3 total £6
Week 4 £4 total £10.
Week 52 £52 Total 1378...
I will add to the pot as I go and will keep this page updated each month I think.
So 250/1378= 18.14% completed.
Not bad start... Game on

Still not much to show from me I'm afraid. This is probably since I'm really cutting down on my spending so I really haven't had much opportunity.
I have told the girls at work what I'm doing though so I'm going to swap change if they happen to have any themselves x0 -
£4 from Asda self service and £2 from change from coffee before work.
