I got an email as well, I will order in time as I have started the WW1 collections, and £5 coins, I am also looking at the new collectors albums which allow you to have space for 2015/2016/2017 coins before they change, although they are out of stock atm.

I won't buy the coins from Royal Mail. I have to find them n my change. It makes the whole £2 coin challenge more exciting for me.

    Hi All
I started this challenge a few years ago ;) I am still collecting the big shiny £2 coins and have now saved £1874 :eek: I put them in a locked tin and when I cant get anymore in the tin I bank them. In an account just for them.I havent spent any of the £2 coin money so have it saved for a rainy day (or dire need) ;)
Its funny as I couldnt bring myself to spend them even when I decided I was no longer in on the challenge :rotfl:So stayed with it and very glad I did ;)
So I am still here willing you all on :D Happy hunting

    Mav x

Wow, that is an impressive amount Mav.

mav, it'll turn into your pension fund at that rate:D

Well got a £2.00 this morning and that makes ta-da £300.00, which was my target for this year_party_:dance:

Along with the £2.00s from last year I've got £460.00 in my tin. Do I do a mav and keep going....or do I spend it on something a bit off the wall? i did think of buying some physical gold from the Royal Mint. Will think!

I am keeping on saving them for the minute though, it would be great to make the total to £500.00 for the year end.:)

Well done Bugslet. Your amount is impressive too.
Hope you reach your £500 target by the end of the year.

  • Had to spend a £2 coin today as didn't have any other money for bus fare... Seems funny now but I was really annoyed about it this morning. Feel like I owe the pot £2, might pay it back two £1 coins, anyone else do this? :) x

Had a count up and was exactly 100 pounds. Amazing considering I hardly got any and my last sig update was around to 40!!! Have some nice non standard ones, so might save one of each for ds as a collection
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

    I know, it's a trauma, isn't it:o ( firstworldproblem.com!)

I'm up to £478 yay - I really want that £500.00 before Christmas.....

sellotape, I don't - I actually took £20.00 out of the tin in the middle of the year, otherwise I'd be sitting at £498.0000 *sobs*:p
