I have lost count of my £2 coins but they are going into my sealed pot so I will be able to check how many I have when that is opened next month.

I'm going to keep collecting until the end of the year and will declare on New Year's Eve

    frogletina

Sealed pot opened and I have £280 worth of £2 coins so far! That is more than I thought I had :j

I will bank these ones, but will put any new ones aside to be added to that total when I declare

Well done Frogeltina, Westie and Lolly on the amounts that you saved in your sealed pots. Way to go Westie swapping your money for £2 coins.

I had an email from Royal Mail. They have released the designs of the 2016 £2 coins. 3 Shakespeare coins ands World War 1 design.

Potted 5 £2 coins tonight. Making the total £60.

I got an email as well, I will order in time as I have started the WW1 collections, and £5 coins, I am also looking at the new collectors albums which allow you to have space for 2015/2016/2017 coins before they change, although they are out of stock atm.

    Hi All
I started this challenge a few years ago ;) I am still collecting the big shiny £2 coins and have now saved £1874 :eek: I put them in a locked tin and when I cant get anymore in the tin I bank them. In an account just for them.I havent spent any of the £2 coin money so have it saved for a rainy day (or dire need) ;)
Its funny as I couldnt bring myself to spend them even when I decided I was no longer in on the challenge :rotfl:So stayed with it and very glad I did ;)
So I am still here willing you all on :D Happy hunting

    Mav x

Debt free and Mortgage free thank you to all for your encouragement and advice

mav, it'll turn into your pension fund at that rate:D

Well got a £2.00 this morning and that makes ta-da £300.00, which was my target for this year_party_:dance:

Along with the £2.00s from last year I've got £460.00 in my tin. Do I do a mav and keep going....or do I spend it on something a bit off the wall? i did think of buying some physical gold from the Royal Mint. Will think!

I am keeping on saving them for the minute though, it would be great to make the total to £500.00 for the year end.:)
