Is the estate agent being unreasonable?

I see no difference between them working extra time to accomodate you, then your OH taking time off to accomodate your wishes.
Everything that you wish to do can be done by yourself without the OH's presence.
but we don;t know that because we are not the OP or his OH.
Different strokes and all that.0 -
You don't have to take any time off if you have a viewing in the next two weeks.
If I was spending hundreds of thousands of pounds I think I might think one day's holiday was a small price to pay to check I was happy with what I was spending it on. Each to their own though.
If I was spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on anything I'd expect the seller or their agent to bend over backwards to help, in this case they aren't.It's someone else's fault.0 -
...and some people see/notice/understand things differently to other people - and need to make decisions together.
Hence it is perfectly understandable they both wish (need) to be there together.
You have described the word "want" perfectly. :beer:Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

The EA aren't working extra time they work on Saturdays anyway, besides the main difference would be that one of them is earning a few grand to do it.
Tell the Estate Agent that you won't be able proceed any further with the purchase until you've viewed it on a Saturday. I agree that both of you need to see it again, one persons castle is another persons prison.0 -
If you wanted to be even more difficult say if they cannot accommodate a Saturday viewing for both of you to go then you will both will want to see the house separately before completion using double their precious diary time

Just pull out of the purchase, you clearly don't have the time to buy a house;)
Sounds like you're just digging in your heels because the EA won't give you what you want. The EA doesn't work for you and if you've already paid for surveys/solicitors, they will be fairly sure you won't pull out over this.0 -
just offer a revised lower offer via your solicitor based on the fact the EA is an !!!!!! and cant be arsed atending a viewing on a saturday with you
or alternatively ask the EA to ask the seller if you can take the keys and view property alone0 -

Precisely, the EA works for the seller who won't be very happy if the sale falls though due to the EA's intransigence. It's someone else's fault.0
