Vodafone number switch problem

Hi bought a new phone for my mum but her sim card doesn't fit. Because the contract isn't in her name (my dad pays it and they are divorced - its a monthly contract not payg) i went online and got a free mini sim sent thru to her (payg). We then went online to change the number over. She has had a text on the new phone about what her number is and how to top up. And she has had a text on the old phone letting her know that the number has been changed over. We have switched the new phone off, taken the sim out, put it back in and switched phone back on but the old phone is still attached to her number..... There is probably a really simple answer to this! I was trying to do this without involving my dad, but if the only way is to get him to call Vodafone then I have no problem getting him to do this. Just thought I would try and do it as I thought it would be quicker hahahaha!

Get the sim cut to size is easiest but you should have ordered a replacement sim for the contract not a payg
It's not just about the money
  • Thanks silk...cant cut the sim as its a really old type sim and the chip is in wrong place :-) will get dad to sort new sim then.
