New Camera for a friend

Hello -
I'm hoping for some advice as I don't know anything about cameras. I would like to find a camera for a friend with an upper budget of about £350.
This means nothing to me but: 16 or more megapixels, with a viewfinder, compact, with wifi and if possible rechargeable batteries. If anyone can point me in the right direction to search I'll be grateful.
So far Pentax X-5 has no wifi, Canon Powershot has just 12.1 megapixels. I'm not really sure what I am searching for but does anyone have an opinion on Panasonic TZ60EB -K, please? The reviews seem to be 'so so' and if there is something better in the budget range I'd be very interested, thank you.

Have a look at this site. Its reviews are pretty fair and very thorough:

Most skilled photographers regard a viewfinder as essential. The OP is advised to stick to his/her guns and make sure whatever they choose has one.
£350 will buy a very capable camera these days and it would be a shame to have it badly hampered by the lack of a viewfinder. Trying to use a rear LCD screen in bright light is a horrible experience.0 -

Thank you very much, Badger. I'll look at the link you have given. Thank you for posting.

Thank you for being good enough to post, Sooler. Because I don't know what to look for myself and my friend would like a viewfinder I'll look with that in mind. Thank you for taking the time to post the links though.

The answer depends in part on what type of photography your friend is interested in. Landscape, action, portrait, studio style etc. Does the camera need to be good in low light situations, or is fast auto focus a priority. Wide angle or long focal length (zoom in on distant subjects). If you post back with information on some of these points people may be able to give a more informed opinion. This link may help:

The Panasonic. I'm a bit biased, I'm on my third Panasonic but the TZ60 is great, amazing zoom, viewfinder (at last), slo mo video, etc.
I only really upgraded for the viewfinder which is essential in bright sunny places, all my other Panasonics have been great.
Under £300 with the rebate at the moment.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -

It's not how many megapixels that counts. It's what the camera does with them that really matters.
Too many pixels crowded on to a small sensor area can be counter-productive.
I'd recommend the Canon G-16.0
