Hi,
just checking the balance on my son's One4All Gift card which last time he used it had £10 left.
Went on-line and was surprised to see there is only 10 pence left.
Looking at the activity it says that One4All has been deducting 90p a month!
Not sure what we can do. So then I checked another one which we had been given - sure enough it has had 20p deducted every month also!!

You might find this article in today's Daily Mail interesting.
There is no consumer rights issue here.0 -
Hi,
thanks, I can see this now. But I would dispute the clarity of the T&C's.
It is somewhat confusing (and the website it laborious to use).
"When you register your giftcard on line you will be able to view your online expiry date. This in NOT the expiry date of the gift card, it is an allocated security date to be used as an expiry date when shopping online."
NOWHERE can I see any mention of monthly charges!!!
I think the whole giftcard operation is too ropey and there must be millions of pounds going missing in the UK every year.
I'm going to advise friends and relatives to stop giving them.0 -

Not being funny but it took me about 30 second from opening the website to find the following information:£0.90 charge per month, or remaining balance on card if lower.
(This charge will not be applied during the first 18
months following issue of the card. Thereafter, the charge will be applied monthly until such times as the balance on the card is zero and this agreement is terminated)
Open the website, find the Terms and conditions link at the bottom and scroll down to "5. FEES AND CHARGES"0 -

If so, you will have seen that they are telling us:High street stores are pocketing more than £300million a year from gift cards that are never used.I'm going to advise friends and relatives to stop giving them.0 -
