    It could also be untrue.

If your post had stated "Besides, as with the recent M25 closure thread, even someone who was planning to arrive 5 hours before the flight may have missed it" instead of "would have missed it", I would have not disagreed with it. :p
Quite right. Similarly if you'd said "That might not be true" instead of "That's patently not true." I would not have disagreed. However I think I'd rather hang around at an airport than have a petty semantic debate so I'll leave it there! Ta ta.

    Not necessarily.

With all that extra time, it may have been possible to find an alternative route away from the M25 and still arrive in time for a flight. :p

Allowing the minimum of time would almost certainly have resulted in a missed flight.

That's right. Unless they get stuck right behind an accident, the drivers on the National Express airport services are very good at finding alternate routes down the back roads- you will be delayed but at least you should get there but you do need to allow for the possibility of delays.

    Ah.
The good old 'petty semantic debate' excuse trotted out when you're proved wrong. :rotfl:
I wouldn't have missed the flight.
    I might have.
'would have' missed the flight is wrong.

    Have a good trip.
Do be sure to leave sufficient time to get to the airport on time for your flight. :santa2:
