Not your fault then. Must be someone else to blame.
I admit it was my mistake not to have looked more closely. A mistake I shall not make again. In my opinion, all designed to deceive.
It is perfectly obvious that supermarkets connive with brands to mess with package shapes and sizes in order to deliberately deceive. Wouldn't life be boring if you had to get out and check that the next motorway bridge you attempted to drive under was actually as big as the last one so you could be certain not to knock your block off as you passed?
It is far too easy to create an illusion to fool busy shoppers, and unexpected pack-sizes is of course just one way. Are the detractors really suggesting that before you decide how large a bottle is, you first have to measure the distance this time of the bottle from your eyes and make sure that you aren't standing closer than when you last eyed up a 70cl bottle? Small things look bigger close up - did we all know that ? If you are standing on the other side of a wide aisle then the same bottle looks smaller than if you are just reaching out to pick it up! Did we all know that? I am also reliably informed that it often looks different after it has been emptied
I think the thread detractors must either be joking or just not very confident manouevring in this world full of reliable patterns in nature, AND IN BLOODY BRAND PACKAGING UNTIL SMARTA$$ES INSIST ON MESSING WITH IT!
Either that or they really do expect you to be on your guard for obvious deceit in pack sizes.
Thanks for the heads up - I prefer single malts which they are always messing with size-wise, but good shout nevertheless to name the brand and supermarket miscreants :T
Tonkas - the lot of them! :rotfl:0 -

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them. It takes more than a few no-marks who fall over at the sniff of a bar maids apron to put me off my stride. They wouldn't know a double malt from a glass of beetroot wine."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
You are quite right about the deliberate deceit, poppasmurf so you do not have to suffer those who wish to sarcastically and ignorantly ridicule you any further than you did the first time you said it.

I started to go through your post and then realised you were being ironic.
Imagine anyone being stupid enough to think your post was a serious post, well done nearly caught me out.0 -
We can lead a horse to water, poppasmurf ... :beer:0
