That's where mine is as I use it as a bedside radio alarm.

The hum is inaudible unless it is 3am and dead silent. Then it isn't. Which is why I fixed mine.

In case it doesn't appear in the adverts, one of the best features I find with mine is that you can access all the BBC's "Listen Again" programs on it.

yeah the listen again feature is great. Having only five presets is a bit of a let down, but i believe you can have as many 'presets' as you want when you register your radio online. I'll post instructions here on how to do it once ive figured it out myself.

I got one at this lovely price about 10 days ago. It's a really good radio - got my mother 2 at earlier on this year(big flat) and they were £139.00 each in January. They are easy to use.

I haven't heard any hum though a friend of mine complains about his.

Be carefull everyone. The American RIAA changed the law for how online stations are charged for royalties. Many will not be able to afford to continue. This could be why they are being sold off cheap!

No, that's a DAB only radio. This picks up internet radio. So you're talking about a difference of several squillion* thousand radio stations!

I can highly recommend one of these radios. They really are as life-changing as an iPod.
