haha, oh had to go for fasting blood test this morning so asked him to stop in at morries on way back as we are out of cat food.
Our cat likes felix & morries are doing 44 packets for £10. Very hard to find it cheaper without bulk buying & even then is pennies so am happy with morris price.
He calls me about 10 mins ago
Him: which cat food is it?
Me: Felix, 44 packet box. You got done quick at the hospital?
Him: Not been in yet, isn't open till 8.30 so have come to Sainsbury to get the cat food.
Me: NOOOO, they don't have the special offer, they charge £12. Go to morrisons after the hospital. DO NOT BUY FROM SAINSBURY.
Him: uh, ok, calm down.
hahahahaha
He will learn this stuff if it kills me.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Good morning all
I hope everyone is well.
*I am aiming for another NSD today... I am anticipating Sunday will be my first spending day as I predict I will run out of milk.
*I want to do lots of tidying up today...I have a large back extension that is currently used as a storage room and the dog's sleeping place. I want to empty, clean, decorate and make it into a warm and cosy play room for the wee one. This will mean wipe-able paint on the walls and a cheap, dark coloured carpet. And some colourful wall decor/pictures etc. I have a decorating budget of £500 this year... for the whole house! So I will have to shop very wisely... I shall start with Freecycle.
*I want to 3bay at least three items and make use of the free listings.
*I shall be doing a bit of admin for work whilst the wee one plays with her new Christmas toys. People went a bit mad buying for her, so I have put some things away to stagger throughout the next couple of months. She and I were overwhelmed with the amount. Silly spending really.
Some of her gifts were duplicates, so I have put the smaller items like gloves, scarfs, pants, small dolls, puzzles and crayons etc away for next year's shoebox appeal.
*Breakfast is cheese omelette to use up aging eggs, lunch is homemade lentil soup and a small baked potato and dinner is gluten free sausages and roast veg. As well as gaining Pounds £££ I want to lose a few pounds lbs this year.
*Lengthy dog walk for free exercise and fresh air.
*And today's frugal virgin plan (virgin as it is new to me) is to turn the television off more. We have it on most of the morning whilst I commence work... but little one is normally playing at the table next to me so the TV is basically just wasted electricity and a unhealthy background of brain-washing adverts and noise. So Mr TV as of today, you will be getting switched on a lot, lot less.
Have a lovely day y'all. xx0 -
A New Year, a new start!
Spending diary for 2015 is ready to go. Only got £72 to see us through to payday on the 16th but the freezer's full and cupboards aren't bare. Will really just need to buy fresh veg, milk, bread etc.
Also got given a bottle of JD from FIL (unwanted present, he's more a whiskey man) and, whilst we do like it, I'm going to regift for my BIL's birthday to save money.0 -
Morning all xx
Today may be a spend day as I may make use of the Home Bargains near the in laws' house and buy a £4 funky colour hair dye. I'm looking at the purple or lilac as I ha e a redsy dye in at the moment. That said I think I have a black dye at homr but I'm 99% sure it's out of date and not sure if it will make it patchy... will have a G00gle in a mo
Tomorrow is DEFINATELY a spend day as I will be picking my car up from one garage who have done some main dealer-only specialist repairs and dropping it straight to a local garage I normally use and ask their opinion on other repairs that the main dealer says it needs (MOT failures apparently..). If they do need doing, I'll have to wait for next payday as this repair has cost a lot this month
Also will need to get petrol tomorrow as I'm nearing empty on the tankApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
morning all,
I forgot to say, when washing CC41/Wool blankets DO NOT use fabric softner..
Even though we are self employed, we are back to work on Monday, so I think I will try and get some cleaning and more de-cluttering done.. between now and then..
Got my note book ( good old fashioned paper one) and will start writing down, what we are going to take to the general auction sale..so then, rather than move the items around the house, they can stay in situ, until next week or so, until we can load them up in the van, and take them to the auction place..
I will prob sell things that I wish I had kept later one, but at the moment.. clearing the house, and most of all the money WILL come in handy, even if its just a quid or two..Work to live= not live to work0 -
Had a good day yesterday, picked up some shopping from Mr T's using vouchers, although I did say to hubby I'm going to try to stay away from the larger supermarkets and get the main shopping from Ald*, as I always end up spending more than I'd like in the larger stores.
Took the kids to Ikea as we needed a bookcase and they had an hour in the free play area so that was pretty frugal, we only bought what we'd planned to buy too.
Today will be a NSD as we don't need anything from the shops at all, and I need to spend some time tidying the lounge. Have made a start but need to do some more!Grocery Challenge 2024

Just put my first £24 in Christmas 2015 fund, and £96 into my savings (come boys clubs, competition & shows) account.
Anniversary this month, so booked meal at our local pub, £6.50 for 2 courses, so not bad, and started on present, frame for £3.49, and I am printing off words of our song in faint print along with our date in bold on top, so all in all pretty frugal for a special dayLoving life to the full, just need purse full too

Hi Everyone
I would like to join and my budget for essentials this year is going to be £10,500.
I'm tackling debt this year and hoping to pay off at least £5k in 2015.
I enjoy cooking but, like others, I buy all the raw ingredients then get caught up and don't use them so things end up in the bin. This is one area where I can buck up my ideas and save.Total Debt: £5257.32
Goal to be rid of:
May: Next/YourPlan - £169.61
June: Vanquis - £258.51
July: Paypal - £249.010 -

It may not work for you if time is an issue but I make my own ready made meals. After going shopping and usually when DH is at footy (every fortnight maybe) I spend the afternoon having a massive cooking session and freeze. It also means when I get home from work, I don't have to cook from scratch, just reheat. It prevents me from wasting any fresh ingredients.0 -
what kind of things do you cook his missus?I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
