    You might have more success at a builders merchant such as Travis Perkins, the one I used was from them and made of metal, this is important so it does not flex or move whilst in use and ensures accurate joints.

    The one I had was called something like wondermitre as I recall, it was around £10 - £15, I sold it on ebay after for about £8.
