However, at least Lloyds have a 6-8 week 'grace period' from account opening where they will both pay the interest and waive the fee until you've had chance to sort out your funding and set up the requisite DDs...so in that sense they're not "stricter".0 -
As a recently resigned Santander Employee, I was responsible for selling Santander products inc. 123 Current Account.
We have 3 (1 sole, one joint, and one in my wife's sole name), all with £500 standing order going in and straight back out in each, and 2 Active DD's which are annual charity DD's.
