My Moral Money Dilemma

Options
I have recently bought myself a new phone. As I bought the phone outright and not on contract I have a couple of options for my previous handset. The phone is in very good physical condition but does have a minor battery issue where it'll turn itself off at about 10-20%.

1: Trade it in and receive £120
2: Sell it on an auction site and get £150-200 minus fees.

My third option appeared after a conversation with my dad who had dropped his phone and smashed it a few days earlier. It's a much older model than the handset I was going to sell on so I thought it would be nice to offer him mine as a replacement...

... but is it wrong to ask him to pay for it?

Answer:- Totally wrong to even have the thought of wanting to charge your own father, Would have thought even considering this should have been a no no.
