Refund from Tesco Broadband after a year.

In brief.
Had Tesco Broadband which I cancelled about ten months ago due to a house move. Received a refund of £8 this week.
Might be worth a check if broadband suppliers (or others) owe the customer any money.
Detailed.
Was looking through direct debits going out of my bank account and saw the Tesco one was still there. No money was being taken so I thought I'd remove it by deleting it from the DD list.
This must automatically alert Tesco as I then had an email from Tesco saying my DD had been cancelled by me and I should set up a new DD. I replied to this automatic email saying I had not had broadband for almost a year.
They emailed back, agreed and said I had £8+ of credit which they would send on a gift card (which they have).
Summary.
I am guessing there are many people who must have money owed to them. Only a small amount but I'm happy with it!
(There was no mention of the amount owing to me at any point prior to this).
Wondered if this has happened to anyone else?
