I also have a Capitalone credit card, which is automatically paid in full every month by direct debit without any problems.

I get 1% interest on everything I spend, which is paid every January, plus a yearly bonus of £10;)

There was a little hiccup once, but they rectified this straight away and credited my account with £50 for my trouble:D

I recently opened a Cap One card and was automatically sent a username and password to access my online account before my pin/card even arrived.

I set up the DD when phoning to activate the card.
  • I too have a Capital One card & have always found them helpful when I have rang them.
I have set up direct debit for the bill to be paid in full every month.
I also get 1% cash back which is paid into the a/c every January.
One should take ownership for the a/c rather than calling it a scam.

I've noticed that their time from statement to due date seems shorter than other cards.

    Not for me.

My Capital One statements are always produced on the 25th of the month—even Christmas Day—and the due date is 21st of the following month. Usually 26 or 27 days

On the other hand, my last Santander 123 statement was produced on 2nd December and payment is due 24th December. 22 days.

My last Barclaycard statement was produced on 12th December and the payment is due 6th January. 25 Days.

    Hmmm...
    • My August Capital One statement was dated 14th August, with a payment due date of 29th August.
    • My Tesco one was dated 24th August and due 18th Sep.
    • And my Sainsburys one was dated 28th August, due 22nd September.
I've shifted away from using the Capital One one because of it.

Definitely not a scam and I have never had a issue signing up or logging into online.

Capital One Scam-we are probably not the only ones but since joining Capitol One for credit we had a first statement and paid on time. They swear blind the statements have been sent out but it seems strange both of us have not had them.

Since then neither of us have been getting statements, so the account goes into arrears. We phoned and set up a direct debit because both of us were unable to register online.

Please be aware if you do not get a statement, phone them and say you cant get online - they have given us a username and password now, it took seconds.

Tell them you wish to set up a direct debit for Minimum Payment.
If you have not had statements please let us know.

    No scam at All.

I was able to set up on line from day one and had paperless billing from the start

Been with Capital One about 4 years now, never had problem...
