Problem with Vodafone unlocking iphone

Hi posting on behalf of daughters boyfriend, he has just upgraded his phone and filled in the online form to get his old iPhone 5 unlocked, but this has been returned three times now as failed and that he has filled in the form wrong, customer services say he can only get it unlocked by filling out the form.

So is there anyway to solve this, been with voda for years and signed up for another two and just wants to give old phone to family member

    Tell him to make the idiots fill the form for him while on the phone.

    That said, I'd try different browsers and computer first.

    Thanks grumbled, won't work he asked if they could ask him security questions over the phone or if there was any other way and they said no it must be the form

    Of course they did. It's their profession to fob the customers off. You have to be persistent to get your call escalated to someone more knowledgeable.

    If your daughter's boyfriend still needs help with this, ask him to email me with his details via the link in our profile here.

    All he'll need to do is copy and paste the link into his web browser and it'll take him to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me, he'll also need to quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line.

    Once sent, he'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Post back with this and I’ll check I've received it.
